Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

My reincarnation went smoothly. I was born on September 16, 1985, and regained the memories of my past life at the age of 15, on my birthday.

My life went on without a hitch. My family had an agreement with the local hunters, the Winchesters; our families have been friends and business partners for decades, according to my parents.

I am childhood friends with the Winchester kids. Dave Winchester is his name, and my name in this life is William Colt. Our families are in the gunsmithing business, according to my father, Robert Colt.

My mother, Jessica Colt, told me that we Werelions are only born naturally through normal reproduction, which is why there have never been many of us. We evolve naturally. According to her, I will become a "Werelion King" when I turn 20, but I can steal the Alpha spark from another werewolf. My father says he is much stronger than a common Alpha werewolf because he killed two other Alphas and stole their sparks. He said I could do the same to become much stronger than a regular Werelion King, just like my uncle, Trevon Lion, who is already far more powerful than a normal Alpha. My father claims to be as strong as Talia Hale—who is an evolved Alpha—because he stole those two other Alpha sparks.

My training began when I turned 16. My control is much stronger than that of a normal Werelion, according to my uncle Trevon. I finished my Werelion training in just one year. At 17, I started training with melee weapons and firearms, practicing for another two years. By 19, I was traveling across America with my friend Dave, and we arrived in Beacon Hills.

"We're arriving in Beacon Hills, William," Dave said.

"Yeah. The pack that runs things here is the Hales. Their leader is an evolved Alpha named Talia Hale," I told him.

"I see. Let's find a place to grab a drink around here," Dave suggested.

While we were on our way, I ran into a werewolf: it was Laura Hale. She knew who I was; we had met many times and were in a relationship for two months, but it didn't work out, though we still see each other once in a while.

Dave saw her and teased me:

"Looks like you only came here to see her."

"Well, since we were passing through, why not visit?" I replied.

As we were passing by, we saw an Argent nearby. It was Kate, the "crazy bitch," according to Dave—and I agree. We got to the bar and saw her talking to a teacher; we ignored them, had our drinks, and left. When I walked out, I ran right into Laura. I could have avoided her, but why not let things happen?

"Are you doing okay after all this time?" I asked.

"I am. Just the usual trouble with the Argents, other than that, everything's fine," she said with a beautiful smile.

"I'll leave you two to it and head back to the hotel," Dave said with a wink.

We talked about life. I told her I finished my training, and she mentioned she was finishing hers to become the next Hale Alpha. We left the bar, went to the movies, and then headed to the hotel. She promised to visit me in Los Angeles in a few months.

Dave and I returned to Los Angeles. Two months later, I heard that the Hale pack had all been killed. I tried to look for Laura but couldn't find her. All I know is that she and Derek weren't home that day and fled. I think she received the Alpha power after her mother's death.
