Chapter 1 - I found you

Chapter 1: The Beginning of Everything

It started with something small.

That's how it always begins.

The café wasn't special.

Just another quiet place where people came to escape their lives for a while. The air smelled faintly of coffee and rain, and the soft hum of conversations blended into the background.

Aarav sat near the window, his fingers loosely wrapped around a cup that had already gone cold.

He wasn't waiting for anyone.

Or at least, that's what he told himself.

The bell above the door rang.

He didn't look up at first.

But something made him pause.

A feeling. Subtle. Strange.

Like the air had shifted.

She walked in quietly.

No dramatic entrance. No loud footsteps.

But somehow… she stood out.

Her eyes moved around the room, searching—not for a seat, but for something else. Something unseen.

And then—

They stopped on him.

For a second… neither of them moved.

It wasn't love at first sight.

It wasn't anything that simple.

It was just—

Recognition.

Like two strangers who somehow felt familiar.

She looked away first.

But not before he noticed something in her expression.

Something intense.

Something that lingered longer than it should have.

A few minutes later, she took the seat across from him.

Not because it was empty.

But because it was his.

"Is this seat taken?" she asked.

Her voice was calm.

Too calm.

Aarav blinked, slightly caught off guard.

"No."

She sat down.

No hesitation.

No awkwardness.

Like she had already decided this moment long before it happened.

Silence stretched between them.

But it didn't feel uncomfortable.

It felt…

Loaded.

She looked at him again.

This time, directly.

No hesitation.

No fear.

"Do you believe," she said softly,

"that some people are meant to find each other… no matter what?"

Aarav let out a small breath, almost amused.

"I think people just meet. That's all."

A faint smile touched her lips.

But it didn't reach her eyes.

"No," she said.

"You don't understand yet."

Something about the way she said it made his chest feel… tight.

Not fear.

Not exactly.

Just—

Uneasy.

Outside, the rain started to fall.

Slow at first.

Then heavier.

Like something building.

And inside that small café…

Without realizing it—

Aarav had just met the person who would change everything.

I think I'll upload this as chapter one
