*THOOM!*
The impact didn't just generate a shockwave; it triggered an explosive burst of golden energy that illuminated the entire canyon in a blinding, instantaneous strobe light.
For a fraction of a millisecond, the absolute force of the human strike held the final boss perfectly pinned against the weight of the air.
Then, a sound cut through the roar of the explosion.
*CRACK.*
The flawless, faceted diamond gemstone that formed Lord Malkor's face suddenly fractured down the center line.
Then it started shattering into a shower of dim, dying sparks.
The outer geometric shell peeled away like brittle glass, dissolving into fine gray dust before it could even hit the gravel floorboards.
As the shards fell, the true visage of Malkor was revealed to the universe for the first time.
Beneath the shattered diamond mask lay a terrifyingly perfect, symmetrical face, framed by long, flowing, golden-white hair that caught the residual glare of the battlefield.
But it was his eyes that redefined the atmosphere of the entire sector. They were wide, unblinking, and entirely engulfed in a deep, absolute golden light—an ancient, predatory hue that carried zero warmth and zero mercy.
Tyson's eyes widened to their absolute limits, his chest heaving as his heart began to beat rapidly against his ribs.
On the far sidelines, Elias froze.
The air in his lungs vanished. Cold, heavy sweat broke out across his forehead, moving down his cheeks in thick droplets as his pupils contracted.
"Those eyes," Elias whispered, his voice cracking into a ragged, breathless wheeze. "It can't be possible... No, it can't be. I can never forget those eyes... He's the one who killed them..."
The strength completely drained from Elias's legs. He fell to his knees, his hands slamming hard into the rough gravel floorboards as his body began to tremble violently.
The entire war, the canyon, and the presence of Tyson all melted away from his consciousness. His mind was violently dragged backward through time, trapped in a horrific loop of memory—he remembered the screaming, the smell of blood and the towering monster that killed he's mother and sister.
He remembered the exact golden gaze that had looked down at him through the smoke, a gaze he had spent every waking second of his life trying to hunt down.
"It's not possible," Elias choked out, his fingers tearing into the dirt as he stared blankly ahead, completely locked in a catatonic state of shock. "How... no... it must be an illusion. It has to be a trick..."
Before Tyson's conscious mind could even process, his physical body acted entirely on its own.
Tyson executed a hyper-speed, desperate three-step retreat, his boots cutting deep grooves into the bedrock as he cleared ten yards of distance in a fraction of a heartbeat.
Malkor stood completely still in the center of the clearing, his golden-white hair shifting slightly in the breeze.
His cold, perfect face showed zero signs of pain or anger from the strike.
"If you hadn't moved back just now," Malkor stated, his voice cold and dangerously calm "you would have died."
Tyson settled back into his brawler's guard, his face twisting into a fierce, dangerous frown as he forced the tremors out of his hands.
"Shut the hell up, you cunt," Tyson spat, his voice loud and clear.
Externally, he maintained his aggressive posture, but internally, his mind was racing at a chaotic, uncontrollable speed. *"Those eyes look familiar,"* Tyson thought to himself, his teeth grinding together until they clicked. *"I recognize them... where have I seen that exact golden glare before? ."*
Before he could finish the thought, Malkor closed the distance.
There was no visual transition. Malkor simply existed in front of Tyson once more, as He drove a lightning-fast, straight right punch toward the center of Tyson's chest, simultaneously causing the local progression of time to lag in a five-inch radius around Tyson's left shoulder, effectively freezing his ability to bring up a cross-block.
Tyson, anticipating the distortion from their previous exchange, immediately bent the law of kinetic transfer.
He didn't try to move his frozen left arm; instead, he routed the entire rotational energy of his torso through his right hip, executing a hyper-dense, low-weaving slip that let Malkor's knuckles graze his ear.
As he slipped beneath the blow, Tyson unleashed a brutal, close-range left hook directly into Malkor's ribs, bending the law of inertia to multiply the weapon's striking mass by a factor of five.
*BANG!*
Malkor absorbed the attack without flinching.
With his free left hand, he executed a swift, clinical downward chop aimed at the base of Tyson's neck, simultaneously warping the gravity around Tyson's boots to pull him directly into the path of the strike.
Tyson felt his feet sinking into the stone floorboards as gravity pulled him downward.
Tyson accepted the strict law of universal compensation—he allowed the gravitational pull to accelerate his descent, dropping entirely into a low split on the ground.
Malkor's downward chop sliced through the empty air, the sheer physical wind from the hand strike tearing a five-foot fissure into the bedrock behind them.
From the floor, Tyson coiled his legs and launched a double-boot thrust directly upward into Malkor's chin.
*THOOM!*
The double-kick connected cleanly, against Malkor's perfect jaw and launching the dark entity five yards upward into the air.
Tyson immediately flipped back onto his feet, as he prepared to pursue.
Meanwhile, the other captains finally arrived after recovering from their previous battle.
Vice-Captain Zorin Lyx(4th) was the first to cross the ridge, his eyes widening as he saw battle between Tyson and Malkor
"The hell, their so fast I can hardly keep up,who is that".
"That's Tyson Zane brother." Captain Zarek Solis (4th) said " he's different from the rest of us, normally it takes 4-5 years for anyone to master their evoliths, but Zane mastered and unlocked he's full potential within the span of a year and this guy Tyson, also did the same thing, " Zarek continued as he narrowed he's eye's " from what I heard from sir dock von, he's abilities even rivals Zane"
Zorin Lyx eyes widened as he smiled " that's insane, just who the hell are these guys".
"I see" Captain Torin Kez muttered, " they are something else ".
Renji stepped up to Zorin's flank, his. "Looks like we're late, I wonder what's wrong with Elias"
From behind the frontline captains, the medics of the 1st Division emerged from the battle field carefully supporting their Captain Reid Gideon Swallow and Captain Shadow.
"Damn you guys got here on time I'm really glad you all are alive," Reid Gideon Swallow rasped, his voice weak but audible.
"Damn it," Shadow whispered from. "I wish I could fight the big boss."
Suddenly, a loud rush of wind signaled the arrival of the 10th Division.
Sloane immediately sprinted her hands already glowing with a dense, green aura as she reached Captain Drakye Void, who was leaning heavily against a shattered spire.
"Captain Drakye! Hold still, let me help you!" Sloane said as she Bagan healing him.
"Sloane is really good to see you" Drakye Void grunted,as he smiled.
"Elias!" Nyx cried out, Her face was full of uncharacteristic panic. She minutes she saw him she teleported and grabbed him by the shoulders, shaking him desperately. "Elias, look at me! It's Nyx! What happened to ....."
Then as she saw Elias eyes , she felt a chill down her spine.
"NYX what's wrong with him ," Mikasa said, her hand tight on her weapon as she stepped up beside Nyx. "Did that Basterd do this".
"This is insane," Jaxen muttered, his muscles tensed as he kept his eyes on the fight between Tyson and Malkor "their so fast, Damn it I wish I was the one fighting"
"Jaxen come on let's go see the captain," Kealen added, has he grabbed Jaxen by the collar
"Vela get up now," Rook shouted as he looked towards vela
Vela sat calmly on a nearby rock, her fingers casually dipping into a small bag of chips as she crunched down on one."seriously I'm just trying to have a snack".
"Vela, shut up and focus!" Cipher barked, stepping into the clearing alongside the 5th Division leadership.
Captain Zainab Virel of the 5th Division and Vice-Captain Temi Nova.
Back to the fight.
Tyson ducked underneath a sweeping left hook from Malkor, then he drove forward, his boots shattering the ground as he launched a right cross straight into the center of Malkor's perfect face.
*CRACK!*
The punch connected with absolute, definitive force. Malkor took the full brunt of the hit, his golden-white hair whipping wildly across his shoulders as his head was snapped back. Yet, despite the immense force, the dark lord didn't retreat a single inch.
He stood perfectly grounded in the dust, his golden eyes locking right back onto Tyson's face with a cold, terrifying stillness.
Tyson didn't pull his fist back. He kept his knuckles pressed hard against Malkor's cheek.
"Tell me," Tyson asked,as he heart began beating rapidly. "Have you ever been to Earth?!"
Malkor slowly raised his left hand, his pale, fingers gently wrapping around Tyson's wrist.
"Yes, I have," Malkor murmured,
"What did you do on earth" Tyson asked again.
"Let me just tell you the truth I'm the one who killed your mother and sister" Malkor replied he's eyes has cold as ice.
Tyson's heart completely stopped.
"I changed my appearance when I was on earth," Malkor co
ntinued. "I must say... I am thoroughly surprised you manage to recognize me".
