Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Torn Scroll and the Death of a Brother:-

The atmosphere in Jurashi shifted from mystery to a cold, sharpening dread. The village bells rang, calling every able-bodied samurai to the central plaza. They were armed, their armor glinting under a bruised purple sky. They knew the Kaiju would not stay in the shadows for long.

The Half-Truth

Across the border, Kenji held the scroll in his claws. He had retrieved it from the volcano ledge, but there was a problem. In the frantic struggle to pull it from the messenger who found it, the ancient parchment had snagged on a jagged rock.

Rip.

The scroll was now in two pieces. Kenji looked at the tattered remains in his hand. He held the hints for the Water, Thunder, and Wind Katanas. But the other half—containing the locations of the Fire and Land Katanas—was missing.

"Dumb beasts!" Kenji roared, striking a nearby subordinate. "We have half the key, but the Samurais have the other. We cannot release the King with a broken lock."

The Ambush at the Boundary

The Kaiju army descended upon Jurashi like a landslide. They fell from the sky, erupted from the dirt, and tore through the gates. The battle was a chaotic symphony of steel clashing against scales.

In the middle of the carnage, Krishenmaru fought like a demon, his blade a blur of silver. He was searching for one person: Nadakure.

He found him, but it was too late.

Kenji had bypassed the main frontline. He had found Nadakure near the village storehouse. With a cruel sneer, the Kaiju Commander didn't just strike; he used his claws to tear through Nadakure's back, snapping the bone with a sickening crack.

"Don't worry," Kenji hissed into the boy's ear. "Your sister will join you soon. Her death will be a masterpiece of terror."

The Last Promise

Krishenmaru reached his friend just as Kenji vanished into the mud. He collapsed to his knees, pulling Nadakure's head into his lap. The ground was stained red.

"Krish..." Nadakure coughed, his voice a ragged whisper. "Promise me... you will keep my sister... no... our sister safe."

"I promise, Nadakure! Please, don't go!" Krishenmaru cried, the tears streaming down his face. "We still have the noodle shop... we still have the training..."

But Nadakure's eyes drifted shut. The boy who had worked in the heat of the forges and the noise of the quarries to protect his sibling was gone.

"I will kill him," Krishenmaru whispered, his voice turning cold and sharp as a winter blade. "I promise on your soul, Kenji will pay."

The Council of the Wise

The village was in ruins, and the grief was heavy. But Pradhanjiro, a wise blind man who had lived through a dozen wars, stepped through the crowd.

"Crying will not bring him back," Pradhanjiro said, his cane tapping the stone. "But iron will. The Kaiju have half the scroll, but we have the other. We have the hints for Fire and Land. If we find those two katanas first, we can stop the King from ever rising."

Krishenmaru stood up, wiping the blood from his hands. "We need a team. The best, the wisest, and the bravest."

The Search Party for the Katanas:

Krishenmaru: The Leader.

Mikato: The Thief (Seeking redemption).

Arashi, Kurozan, & Akuma: The Three Shoguns.

Fujiko: The Strategist.

Pradhanjiro: The Wise Guide.

Kairen: The Speedster.

Akimato: The Shell Collector.

As they prepared to leave, Krishenmaru went to the noodle shop. Little Nadashi ran to him, her eyes wide. "Where is Ani? He promised he wouldn't leave again."

Krishenmaru knelt, his heart breaking. "He... he went to the place where your mother is. He will be watching you from there. From now on, I am your brother. And I will never let the shadows touch you."

With the half-scroll tucked into his belt, Krishenmaru led the team out of Jurashi. The race for the Elemental Katanas had begun.
