Chapter 2 - chapter 2: The stranger 's Game

Chapter 2: The Stranger's Game

The rain had slowed, but the city lights reflected in puddles, making everything look like a dream… or a warning.

Aarohi's fingers were still trembling from the messages. "Someone who sees you… when no one else does."

She couldn't stop thinking about it. Could a stranger really see her the way she longed to be seen?

Her phone buzzed again. This time, it was a new message.

Unknown: "Meet me. Tonight. Alone."

Her heart raced. She knew she shouldn't go.

But curiosity… and something darker, something exciting, pushed her forward.

By 10 PM, she was standing outside the abandoned café they had agreed on. Her umbrella did little to protect her from the drizzle.

"Why am I even here?" she whispered to herself.

A shadow detached itself from the alley. He was tall, dangerous, every movement smooth, controlled. His eyes—dark, sharp, almost burning—locked onto hers.

"Late," he said, voice low, teasing.

"I—" Aarohi tried to reply, but words failed her.

"Don't talk yet," he interrupted, stepping closer. His hand brushed hers—light, teasing, almost accidental. But her body registered every inch.

Her cheeks flushed. Her pulse spiked.

"You're exactly as I imagined," he murmured, leaning just slightly into her space.

Her breath hitched. "Imagined…?"

"Yes," he whispered, "and yet… better."

The rain fell harder, washing the streets, hiding their world in silver streaks. He didn't take his eyes off her, but there was no anger, no hostility. Only a dangerous curiosity.

"You like games, don't you?" he asked softly.

She swallowed hard. "I… don't know."

He smiled—a small, dark, confident smile. "Good. Neither do I. But that's what makes it fun."

Aarohi felt a shiver. Excitement? Fear? Desire? She couldn't tell. But the pull… it was undeniable.

"You'll see soon," he whispered, before melting back into the shadows.

She was left standing there, soaked, shivering… and already wanting more.

To be continued…
