Chapter 3 - The World Begins to Move

After shaping the world, the dragon withdrew.

It descended beneath the scale, returning to the Abyss, where it watched in silence.

Above, the world did not remain still.

The beings it had created began to wander.

They met one another.

They did not wage war.

They did not rule.

They simply played.

And through their play—

the world began to change.

The two Mothers of Life fulfilled their purpose.

The Mother of Plants spread herself across the land:

Grass covered the earth

Trees rose toward the sky

Moss, flowers, and forests took root

The world gained stillness and growth.

The Mother of Animals filled that world with motion:

Birds claimed the skies

Fish filled the waters

Beasts walked the land

The world gained movement and instinct.

And so, life began.

As the elemental beings played, their natures intertwined.

Where they overlapped, something new was born—

not made by the dragon,

but emerged from existence itself.

Higher Realms and lesser Gods

From the union of Air and Fire,

the God of the Sky and the Astral Realm was formed.

A realm between sky and space

The place where all thoughts gather

From the union of Earth and Water,

the God of Death and the Underworld was born.

A realm beneath the land

Between the world and the Abyss

The destination of all souls after death

From the union of Water and Air,

the God of Emotions and the Warp emerged.

A realm layered over reality

The place where all emotions gather

The three parts of the Spirit the soul the thoughts are the emotions

Other unions created gods but no realms

From the union of Fire and Earth the God of Cold emerged

From the union of Fire and Water the God of Change emerged

From the union of Earth and Air the God of Time emerged

And then—

there was Mystery.

Unlike the other elements, Mystery no one god emerged from it's playing with the others.

Instead From it came countless lesser gods:

A god of a single mountain

A god of a single river

A god of a forest, a valley, a storm, a path

These beings did not rule over specific parts of the world

They were the world.

Every place, every location, every boundary gained

Awareness and Identity

For a time, the gods existed without true form.

They were vast, formless presences

The Sky was endless expanse

Death was a silent depth

Emotions were ever-shifting currents

Time, Change, and Cold existed as unseen forces

They were, but they were not seen.

Then they beheld Mystery.

Not as an element—

but as the Moon's will, and more importantly,

as the avatar who walked the world.

She had form.

She had shape.

She had presence.

And through her, the formless gods came to understand something new:

To have a form was to be known.

To be known was to be real in a way they had not been before.

The greater gods chose to shape themselves after her.

The Goddess of the Sky and the Astral Realm took the form of a beautiful woman, vast yet graceful, her presence stretching between thought and starlight.

The Goddess of Death and the Underworld became a beautiful woman, calm and inevitable, embodying the quiet certainty of all endings.

The Goddess of Emotions and the Warp shaped herself into a beautiful woman, ever-changing in expression, reflecting the countless feelings of all beings.

The other gods also chose form

The God of Cold became a handsome man, distant and still, carrying the silence of frozen things.

The God of Change took the form of a handsome man, shifting subtly, never the same from moment to moment.

The God of Time became a handsome man, steady and unyielding, his presence marking all beginnings and endings.

Seeing this, the countless lesser gods born of Mystery followed.

The gods of

Mountains

Rivers

Forests

Valleys

Storms

Paths

All took shape.

They became Men and women

Beings that could walk, speak, and be perceived

Not because they needed to—

but because they chose to be understood.
