Chapter 10 - The Hidden Truth"

Chapter Title: Chapter 10: The Hidden Truth

Elara stood before the massive iron gates of the Silver Moon territory once again. This time, she wasn't alone. Malphas stood in his human form, his presence a dark, reassuring shadow. The guards at the gate, who had once spat on her, now trembled as they looked at the massive black wolf pacing behind her.

"Let me in," Elara commanded. Her voice wasn't loud, but it carried a weight that made the iron bars rattle.

One of the younger guards, barely nineteen, stepped forward. "Alpha Kaelen gave orders... no one enters without his permission."

Elara tilted her head, a cold smile playing on her lips. "And whose land do you think you are standing on, boy? These gates were built by my father, Alpha Silas. Kaelen is just a tenant who forgot to pay his rent."

With a wave of her hand, a surge of silver energy hit the gates. The heavy iron locks shattered like glass. The guards fell back in shock as Elara walked through, her head held high.

She wasn't heading for the pack house. She was heading for the ancient archives beneath the library—a place only those of royal blood could truly unlock. Kaelen had tried for years to enter, but the magic of the Silver Moon had always rejected him.

"What are you looking for?" Malphas asked, his eyes scanning the surrounding trees for any signs of an ambush.

"Proof," Elara replied. "Kaelen didn't just reject me because I was an 'Omega'. He knew what I was. He found my father's journal the night he died. He knew that as long as I was around, he would never be the true Alpha."

As they reached the hidden stone door at the base of the mountain, Elara placed her palm against the cold surface. The silver mark on her arm flared, and for the first time in five years, the mountain groaned as the door slowly began to open.

A cloud of dust and the scent of old parchment drifted out. Inside lay the secrets that could destroy Kaelen's reign forever.
