Almost in an instant, a handful of beans had been thrown through the crack in the door, landing on the blue oni.
It hurt. It was unbearable.
But the blue oni gritted his teeth and endured the bean attack without running away.
He continued to shout, "I'm an evil oni! I'm not afraid of beans!"
"I'm going to eat you!"
The blue oni endured the beans and kept pounding on the door with his fists and kicking it with his feet.
To scare the villagers.
Sure enough, seeing that the blue oni wasn't afraid of beans, the villagers in the courtyard nearly fainted from fright.
They quickly shut the main door tightly and stood trembling in the courtyard, using more things to block the gate.
Afraid that the vicious blue oni would break in.
Meanwhile, after causing a commotion outside the courtyard for a while, the blue oni felt he had scared the villagers enough.
So he left, satisfied.
He went to the next house to scare more villagers.
And so it continued.
The blue oni went almost door to door. Whether it was children, young adults, or elderly men and women.
He didn't spare any of them.
He even had chances to break into villagers' homes, flip their tables, kick over their chairs.
He made a mess of everything in their houses.
After scaring the villagers away, the blue oni did somersaults on the road, letting out strange oni cries.
He scared the villagers so much they didn't dare leave their homes.
Just then, some brave villagers came out with handfuls of beans, wanting to drive the blue oni out of the village.
Handful after handful of beans landed on the blue oni.
It hurt, but the blue oni endured it.
"Delicious humans! How dare you attack me with beans!"
"I'm an evil oni! I'm no longer afraid of beans!"
"I love eating villagers!"
The blue oni endured the pain of the beans and bared his fangs and claws at the villagers.
Though he didn't harm them, his oni appearance and his deliberately frightening disguise were enough to terrify them.
Seeing the villagers still throwing beans and backing away in fear, the blue oni grew anxious.
Why hadn't the red oni shown up yet?
Had he changed his mind at the last minute?
Meanwhile, the villagers saw that after throwing so many beans, the blue evil oni wasn't afraid.
They truly believed what the blue oni had said.
This was a vicious evil oni.
An evil oni who wasn't afraid of beans and loved eating villagers.
The villagers who wanted to resist were so frightened that they cried for their parents and scattered.
Just as the villagers were worrying about how to defeat the blue oni, a furious roar suddenly echoed through the village.
"Which oni dares to eat the villagers here?"
"Show yourself!"
"Unreasonable bastard! You're a disgrace to the oni race! I'll beat you until you beg for mercy!"
It was the red oni's voice.
The next moment, with a cloud of dust, the red oni's red figure suddenly burst into the village and stood before the blue oni.
With his own strength, he blocked the blue oni's attack on the villagers.
Seeing this, all the villagers were stunned, unable to tell what was going on.
Was the red oni going to help them drive away the blue oni?
To protect the villagers?
"The two evil oni are going to fight each other?"
"It doesn't seem like it. The blue evil oni wants to eat us, and the red oni saved us!"
"Regardless, go Red!"
"Defeat the blue evil oni!"
Though the villagers didn't understand what was happening, seeing the red oni block the blue oni, they felt a little relieved.

"If you keep blocking me, I'll eat you too!"
The blue oni deliberately pretended to be angry.
He shouted as he attacked the red oni.
In an instant, the two oni were locked in battle.
Dust flew everywhere, enveloping both of their figures.
This scene completely stunned the villagers and made them start to believe that the red oni was protecting them.
Not only that, the red oni shouted as he fought, "Hey, you villain! All you do is hurt the villagers!"
"Today, I'll beat you until you're obedient and never dare to hurt the villagers again!"
But in reality, the red oni's light punches landed on the blue oni without any pain.
It was like tickling.
The blue oni quickly whispered, "Red, hit harder. Don't hold back, or the villagers will see through us."
The red oni also whispered, "Blue, we've fought enough. Hurry and run. Don't let the villagers catch you."
Though he wasn't hitting hard, watching his fists land on the blue oni still pained the red oni's heart.
He really didn't want to hurt his best friend.
But the blue oni, while taking the hits, said seriously, "Red, it's not enough. Fight a little longer. Use more strength. Hit me hard. I'm not afraid of pain."
The red oni hesitated. "Alright. Blue, I'm sorry."
The red oni had already decided.
Once this plan was over, he would properly thank the blue oni. He would prepare many, many gifts for him.
To make up for the beating the blue oni had taken.
So the red oni scolded the blue oni loudly while beating him.
The blue oni also shouted, "Ow, it hurts, it hurts! I'll never eat villagers again! I'll never hurt villagers again! Please, Lord Red, spare me!"
It had to be said, though the blue oni was a recluse, when it came to acting, his skills were excellent.
The red oni was startled and quickly whispered, "Ah, Blue, does it really hurt? Did I hit too hard this time?"
The blue oni said carelessly, "No, I'm just tricking the villagers. Keep hitting."
The red oni: "Okay."
But in reality, every time the red oni's fist landed on the blue oni, it hurt terribly.
It hurt more than the beans.
Many places on his body were already bruised, even swollen.
But to help the red oni integrate into human society, the blue oni gritted his teeth and endured.
And so, the red oni chased the blue oni, beating him for a long, long time, while the blue oni screamed and ran for a long, long time.
The villagers were even more stunned.
They were now completely convinced that the red oni was kind-hearted, that he was a good oni.
They had misunderstood him all along.
"That red oni is different from other evil oni. He seems kind. He's protecting our village, right?"
"Yes, he's fighting the evil oni to protect us!"
"Wah wah, I want to help the red oni defeat the vicious blue oni!"
"The red oni is amazing. One oni is enough to defeat the very bad blue oni!"
"Look, that bad blue oni's face is swollen from the beating!"
"The red oni is so strong! Go Red! Defeat that damned blue oni!"
