Chapter 25 - Episode 8: When Trust Becomes a Weapon

The night was no longer quiet.

It was waiting.

Kabir stood in front of a giant digital map.

Red zones flashing.

Enemy locations marked.

"This ends now," he said coldly.

His men nodded.

War had officially begun.

Meanwhile—

Anaya stood beside him.

Not behind.

Not away.

Beside.

Kabir looked at her.

"You don't have to stay for this."

Anaya shook her head.

"I already chose."

Silence.

Kabir exhaled slowly.

"Then stay close."

She nodded.

And for the first time in days…

There was trust again.

Not perfect.

But real.

Suddenly—

Alarm system triggered.

"Sir! Data breach in sector 3!"

Kabir's eyes sharpened.

"He's attacking systems…"

Anaya frowned.

"Not physically?"

Kabir shook his head.

"No…"

"This is Aarav's style."

"He attacks the mind first."

Meanwhile—

Aarav sat in a dark control room.

Watching everything.

Smiling.

"Let's see how strong their bond is…"

He pressed a button.

Inside Kabir's system—

A video file opened automatically.

Anaya's eyes widened.

It showed Kabir.

But this time—

Not past.

Not business.

But manipulated scenes.

Kabir shouting.

Cold expressions.

Threatening voices.

Anaya stepped back slightly.

Kabir immediately shut the screen.

"Don't look at that," he said firmly.

Anaya looked at him.

"Is it fake?"

Kabir paused.

"Yes."

Short.

Strong.

But doubt had already entered her eyes.

Kabir noticed it instantly.

His jaw tightened.

"This is what he wants…"

"To make you question me again."

Anaya whispered:

"It's working…"

Silence.

Kabir didn't get angry.

He didn't shout.

He stepped closer instead.

Held her hands gently.

"Look at me."

She did.

His voice softened.

"I am not perfect…"

"But I have never lied to you to hurt you."

Anaya's eyes trembled.

"I know…"

"But my heart…"

Kabir interrupted softly.

"I know."

He pulled her slightly closer.

"And I will protect your heart too…"

"…not just your life."

Suddenly—

Explosion in the distance.

The mansion shook slightly.

Security alarms screamed.

Kabir turned instantly.

"He's escalating…"

Anaya steadied herself.

"This is war now."

Kabir nodded.

"Yes."

But then he looked at her.

"And I still don't want you involved."

Anaya stepped forward.

"You don't get to decide that anymore."

Kabir stared at her.

Then slowly… a faint smile appeared.

"You really changed."

Anaya smiled slightly.

"You made me."

Outside—

Aarav watched the explosion.

Calm.

Almost satisfied.

"Good…"

He whispered.

"Now emotions are unstable."

Riya stood beside him.

"And Kabir?"

Aarav smiled.

"He is exactly where I want him."

Conflicted.

Protective.

Human.

Back at the mansion—

Kabir and Anaya stood together again.

Smoke fading.

Eyes locked.

Kabir spoke softly:

"This isn't just a fight anymore…"

Anaya nodded.

"It's about us."

Kabir held her hand tighter.

"Then we win together."

Anaya squeezed his hand back.

"Together."

And in that moment—

The bond didn't break.

It became stronger.
