Chapter 19 - Episode 19: “Riya’s Final Game Begins”

The silence of the safe house didn't last long.

Because silence… never survives when Riya Verma is involved.

Aanya sat near the window, staring outside.

The world looked normal.

But nothing inside her felt normal anymore.

Rudra stood near the door, phone in hand.

His expression was colder than usual.

Focused.

Dangerous.

Aanya noticed it immediately.

"What happened?" she asked softly.

Rudra didn't answer at first.

Then—

"She found us."

Aanya's breath stopped.

"No… that's not possible. This place is hidden—"

Rudra interrupted.

"Nothing is hidden from someone who is desperate."

Silence hit instantly.

Aanya stood up.

"So she's coming here?"

Rudra nodded once.

"Yes."

A pause.

"But not alone."

Aanya's heart tightened.

"What does that mean?"

Rudra looked at her directly.

"She brought the entire network I destroyed years ago."

The room felt colder instantly.

Aanya whispered,

"Why is she doing all this… just for you?"

Rudra's jaw tightened.

"Because she believes I belong to her story."

A pause.

"But I never did."

Silence.

Suddenly—

A loud alarm beep echoed from the security system.

Rudra's eyes snapped toward the monitor.

Multiple red dots.

Approaching fast.

Rudra's voice turned sharp.

"Get down."

Aanya barely moved before he pulled her behind the sofa.

Outside—

engines.

dozens of vehicles.

surrounding the estate.

Aanya whispered,

"This is insane…"

Rudra checked his weapon calmly.

"This is Riya."

A pause.

"And she never plays small."

The lights flickered.

Then—

everything outside turned bright with headlights.

And then silence.

Too calm.

Too controlled.

A voice came through a loudspeaker outside.

Soft.

Almost emotional.

"Rudra…"

Aanya looked up instantly.

Riya.

The voice continued.

"I didn't come to fight."

A pause.

"I came to end confusion."

Rudra stood slowly.

His eyes darkened.

Aanya grabbed his arm.

"Don't go out there!"

Rudra looked at her hand.

Then at her face.

And softly—

"I have to."

Aanya shook her head.

"This feels like a trap."

Rudra nodded.

"It is."

A pause.

"But I designed it too."

Aanya froze.

"What?"

Rudra stepped toward the door.

"I knew she would eventually come to me."

A pause.

"I just didn't expect her to bring so much noise."

He looked back at Aanya.

His voice softened slightly.

"Stay here."

Aanya's eyes widened.

"No."

Rudra paused.

Aanya stepped forward.

"I'm not staying behind while everything happens because of me."

Silence.

For a moment… Rudra didn't respond.

Then quietly—

"You are not the reason."

A pause.

"You are the target."

Before Aanya could argue—

he opened the door.

Outside.

Riya stood under the headlights.

Calm.

Perfectly composed.

Smiling faintly.

And behind her…

armed men.

A past Rudra had buried.

Now alive again.

Riya spoke softly.

"I told you I'd bring you back to me."

Rudra stepped forward into the light.

"No."

A pause.

"You brought war."

Riya smiled.

"Same thing."

And in that moment…

the final game finally began.
