Chapter 12 - Descent

The entrance was hidden.

Beneath the training grounds.

A sealed chamber long abandoned.

Now—

Open.

The air inside was cold.

Ancient.

Heavy with something unfamiliar.

Kael stepped forward first.

Elara beside him.

Liora behind.

Dren and a few selected disciples followed at a distance.

No one spoke.

The deeper they went—

The stronger the pressure became.

[System Alert]

[Unknown Energy Detected]

[High Value Target Zone]

Kael's eyes sharpened.

Good.

This was what he wanted.

Power.

Not scraps.

Not leftovers.

But something real.

The passage opened into a vast underground hall.

Ruins.

Collapsed pillars.

Strange symbols carved into the walls.

At the center—

A structure.

Intact.

Untouched.

Elara stopped.

"…There it is."

Kael stepped forward slowly.

Every instinct alert.

Something was wrong.

Too quiet.

Too still.

Then—

A sound.

Low.

Deep.

Breathing.

The ground trembled slightly.

Cracks spread across the floor.

The structure—

Shifted.

"No…" one of the disciples whispered.

From within the ruin—

Something moved.

A massive figure began to rise.

Stone cracked.

Dust fell.

And then—

Eyes opened.

Glowing.

Ancient.

Watching.

[Boss Entity Detected]

[Threat Level: Extreme]

Silence.

Then—

Kael smiled.

Finally.

"Now this," he said softly,

"is worth it."
