Chapter 30 - 30.Her First Chapter {II}: Where All Begins Part I

09:23 'Ruins of Zhangjiakou City'

Through previous events, Zhangjiakou city managed to defend their city and country, but other countries and cities were in critical condition due to lack of military strength.

Those who managed to survive are now trying to improve their situation and increase their strength again, while carrying out their normal activities by adapting to the collapsed city.

Even though the city is in a worrying condition, the people still try their best and continue their activities.

"Hey! Don't run around in the rubble!"

"Agh, those kids."

Although the view of the city ruins looks quite beautiful, the surrounding scenery is no less beautiful with its natural beauty where vast grasslands stretch far away.

'Zhangjiakou City Junior High School Hallway'

1 Month Later

"Agh, so tired...who would have thought the semester would be accelerated."

"The world is in a critical state so what else can we do?"

"That's right, then it's time for us to get serious about the future."

So we walked out to the school field where the farewell ceremony was being held, a place that looked festive and bright.

"It was truly a very festive event, wasn't it?"

"Yes, you are right, then it's time for us to enjoy it."

At the farewell event, many people took photos, and the speech was given by Seo-woo as the President of the Agency.

Even though it was a shame he didn't attend my graduation and farewell ceremony, it turned out he didn't forget and sent me a letter.

'Congratulations on your graduation, it's a shame I couldn't see you grow up..'

'Be stronger and live by your own choices, sorry for my absence, because I was also busy protecting your world.'

'Congratulations again, and I will miss you.

'~Lee Hyun-woo'

It was a message I didn't expect to receive, but at least I was proud that he hadn't forgotten about me.

"Then I will live to reach the day I stand with you."

*I can't wait to see your reaction on that day.*

A firework was lit after the speeches of each important person were finished, all the students threw their hats and cheered their joy.

When the event was over, I immediately went home to Uncle Seo-woo and Aunt Lee Ji-woo's house, because the orphanage was in a dangerous area of ruins.

Fortunately, everyone in the surrounding area was successfully evacuated, including the children and caregivers at the orphanage.

Even though I managed to graduate from junior high school, I myself didn't want to continue to high school because I wanted to focus on other things.

I heard that there are ecosystems of these monsters in various cities and countries, where this makes them breed in these ecosystems.

The air, and the surrounding plants adapt to their development, where the plants become wilder and some of them are also sharp, even sharper than iron.

Worse still, these ecosystems already cover almost 50% of the world, and one of them also covers this country.

Agents from the Agency are trying to destroy the ecosystem, and keep the surrounding area from spreading any further.

*Honestly, it was strange at that time, where they suddenly attacked big cities and countries, even though all this time they had only been hiding.*

*They must be after something important if they have to sacrifice so many of their species, is it our technology?*

I myself find it difficult to find this information myself, especially on the internet, because it definitely won't be there.

That's why I'm going to enter the Agency on my own, especially since I can use the access card he left behind.

'Access Card'

Name: Lee Hyun-woo

Access: Top Priority

I dressed up neatly and went inside, even though I didn't change the name on the access card, at least I changed the picture to my face.

I went inside with the confidence of a high ranking person, but at that moment something I didn't expect happened.

*Warning!*

*Identity Doesnt Match!*

"What..." I could only remain silent and resigned to the situation.

Meanwhile in the President Agency's room... Seo-woo.. "What..the hell."

The security officers gathered with their guns pointed at me.

"Oh shit.."

I was supposed to be taken to the interrogation room, but because the Agency President saw me, I was on my way to his room.

*Maybe this could be a chance for me to escape after getting out of the elevator.*

The moment the elevator door opened, I immediately kicked the most painful part for the men, while the other supervisor tried to take his weapon, I immediately kicked him until he passed out.

"It seems like it's easier than I thought."

"Time to look for those documents...I'm sure they're around here somewhere."

The access card can still work especially to enter the secret document room, because Lee Hyun-woo is the top priority.

"This is also beneficial, because Seo-woo doesn't know that Lee Hyun-woo doesn't have the access card with him."

"So lucky."

*It's time to find the documents I need..*

I searched through every shelf of documents, until I found some that interested me and those that i needed.

'Doc 001: The Future of Colonization'

'Doc 002: Sacrifice and Truth'

"Compared to other documents, only these two titles are interesting..oh.?"

While looking around I saw a number of untitled documents that caught my attention.

'Doc 000..'

*"Doc 000?" What is this one about.*

When I opened Doc 000 I was shocked, but because I knew I couldn't stay there for long I continued reading it all until I finally got caught.

*Come on! Why only for a moment!! Damn it.*

Finally, I was taken to the President's room, with Seo-woo's face looking tired when he saw me.

"Why do you have to do something like that?"

"How long are you going to keep this a secret anyway?"

"Seeing your childishness, it really looks like him when he were young."

"Park Min-ji"'s face started to look interested when talking about Lee Hyun-woo.

"You really can't get away from him huh?"

*Just by mentioning you, she was immediately interested.*

"You know, he should have been better off taking this position, but in the end he gave it to me."

"He also left with the reason to save the world, even now he must be fighting to protect this world for you."

"You can go but please leave the camera behind, because you already know everything yourself, right?"

"Park Min-ji" was silent for a moment before finally walking out of the President's office and returning home.

"Seriously, how long do I have to take care of your daughter?"

"She also turns out to be no different from you, I don't think there's any need for a blood test, right? Hahaha..."

"I guess I was just kidding myself...ugh."

"Park Min-ji" walked out of the building with a blank, sad, confused, lonely gaze, which made her to the point where she was just speechless because she had too many thoughts.

She walked back to her temporary home, with the clear sky mixed with clouds, the cold air unavoidable, as she felt thinking about her fate.

After a long journey, passing through various happy faces and sadness on the streets, she finally arrived.

However, when she arrived, she just stared at the house. She wasn't sure what she was thinking, but she still slowly entered, even as a light drizzle began to fall over half the city.

"Where is she? Why didn't she tell me she was leaving??" A panicked expression appeared on Lee Ji-woo's face, worrying about "Park Min-ji".

"I am, home." The languid tone of "Park Min-ji" who opened the door, made Lee Ji-woo relieved to see her.

"Where have you been?"

"Just looking for some important things." "Park Min-ji" just answered in a tired tone and walked past Lee Ji-woo.

"I see, welcome back home."

Just a few words of welcome made her feel relieved, the sadness that was starting to feel bitter was released little by little.

Her hands started to tremble as she held back the pressure, but Lee Ji-woo's gentle touch made her feel relieved and she hugged her.

"Thank You.."

"It's okay, I will always welcome your return."

*Just looking at her face reminds me of the other Park Min-ji, but thank you...for bringing her home safely.*

Lee Ji-woo expressed her gratitude as if she were with all the living, as if she were grieving with them.

Imagine that their moments of happiness are gone, but the wounds of sorrow will still be there and welcome their new arrival.

The sound of the rain started to get louder, and "Park Min-ji" just fell asleep in Lee Hyun-woo's room thinking about everything that had happened to her.

Contemplating but ultimately confused, confused about what to contemplate. But something crossed "Park Min-ji's" head, remembering the letter she found she started to think of a plan.

*From the last letter..does that mean I have powers too?*

*If so maybe I can use it to catch up with him.*

"Park Min-ji" looked out the window, through the dark sky and heavy rain, a sky light shone in the middle like hope.

A hope was seen and believed, while the fire of courage began to burn within her.
