Chapter 13 - The Sun and The Lovers

J. Geil was absolutely dead, of course. He was a simple pervert who killed for fun. But once he was killed, getting any information out of his mother, Enya the Hag, became practically impossible.

Torturing J. Geil to force Enya the Hag to spill information might have been an option. However, while Jean Pierre Polnareff—who had suffered deeply because of him—might have agreed to such a proposal, the others would have definitely vetoed it.

In the end, they chose to just finish them off. With such massive casualties, the only way for the instigators to atone was with their lives. Judges and police officers couldn't see Stands, and prisons couldn't hold Stand users. Just look at Stone Ocean—Stand users had a blast playing around in prison.

If only something like Seastone existed. In *One Piece*, ability users shackled with Seastone would go completely limp and lose their powers. Unfortunately, there was no such convenient item in the JoJo universe.

As always, the police arrived late to the aftermath, maintaining order, cleaning up the scene, and recording the casualties.

A major incident. This was absolutely a major incident. Every officer present clearly realized this, not just because of the casualties, but because the event involved some unknown ultra-wealthy tycoon.

That's right, it was Zenith. The power of money was invincible in a capitalist world. In short, the main cast, who had nearly become the scapegoats, managed to safely bypass the police interrogations and the statements they originally needed to make.

"Having the Speedwagon Foundation handle it would have worked too."

Joseph Joestar crossed his arms, looking thoroughly annoyed at the arrogant Zenith. After his body had grown younger, it seemed his mindset had also reverted to his youth.

"The Speedwagon Foundation could definitely do it, but you could have handled it yourself without them," Zenith said, smugly patting Joseph on the shoulder. "As long as you brought out the charm of Tequila Joseph, I'm sure the police officers would have done you a favor."

"?"

Joseph stared at Zenith in absolute shock. "How do you know about that?! There's no way anyone in the world could... You timeline-peeping pervert, do you want to duel?!"

"Ha! He's mad! He's actually mad!"

Who would have thought that a 195-centimeter muscular giant once had the heart of a cross-dressing master? Even though he only did it back then to sneak into a military base, still...

Zenith pictured the scene in his head and still found it hilarious. If he ever got the chance to visit the worlds of JoJo Parts 1 and 2, he would definitely go watch those iconic moments in person.

Logically, the next leg of their journey should have taken them to India. Imagining the magical cities of that country, Zenith shook his head, tossing out the terrifying mental images of getting drunk on Ganges River water and reciting poetry amidst cow dung.

"We're taking a plane straight to Cairo. I really don't want to experience their trains, especially not in the 1980s."

"But," Muhammad Avdol hesitated. He actually had a pretty good impression of India. "If we take a plane, we'll be vulnerable to Stand attacks, and we could easily drag innocent passengers into it."

"Private jet."

The power of money was just that willful. A large international flight took off from Singapore heading to Cairo. The flight crew consisted of an elite pilot squad from the Speedwagon Foundation, and the only passengers were the main cast.

"If nothing goes wrong, we should be able to arrive safely in Egypt, right? We thoroughly inspected the entire plane before boarding, and we tested the crew to ensure there are absolutely no Stand users among them."

"No raising flags, you vehicle destroyer. Are the parachutes ready? Is everyone wearing their diamond brooches and flight amulets? With this much preparation, we could safely land even if we get shot down by an anti-aircraft missile."

*'Just who is the one raising flags here?'* Joseph thought, looking thoroughly annoyed but completely helpless.

Air travel in this era was actually quite comfortable, even if it was a bit noisy. Drinking red wine, singing songs, and enjoying gourmet food prepared by top chefs—it couldn't get any better than this.

But why did it feel like the cabin temperature was getting higher and higher?

"Oh my God—!! The temperature inside the cabin is approaching forty degrees Celsius!"

If an attack absolutely had to come from the sky, what kind of Stand would it be? It was so hard to guess. Everyone stared at the second sun rising in the sky, silently giving Zenith and Joseph a thumbs-up in their hearts.

The Stand representing The Sun tarot card. It could create a sun-like orb of light from a distance that radiated ultra-high temperatures, and it could even fire heat lasers powerful enough to melt rock into magma.

"Prepare to parachute!"

The flight crew parachuted out in an orderly fashion, while Zenith calmly activated the power of his flight amulet and hovered in mid-air. After drinking a Fire Resistance Potion, the heat lasers felt no different to him than warm afternoon sunlight.

"Dio being able to pinpoint the Joestar family's location at any time is just too disgusting."

As the adopted son of the Joestar family, Dio Brando initially only wanted to scheme for the Joestar fortune. But after a series of events, he eventually became a vampire and had his head severed during a battle with Joseph's grandfather, Jonathan Joestar.

However, a vampire's vitality was simply too formidable. In the end, he hijacked the body of the first JoJo, Jonathan, and from then on, forged a bizarre bloodline connection with the Joestar family.

"Fortunately, we aren't far from Egypt now. At the very least, we've already bypassed that country on the Ganges."

Below them was an endless expanse of desert. The person controlling the Stand to attack the plane from below clearly hadn't expected the main cast to prepare emergency landing gear in advance. Underestimating the composure of the older generation's vehicle destroyer, he was standing right out in the open in the middle of the desert, even holding a cola in his hand.

The fat Arabian man who didn't even have a name in the original story. A powerful yet completely unmemorable Stand.

The enchanted bow, which hadn't made an appearance in a long time, fired off Punch and Flame arrows in a rapid barrage. The distance was too great, so the master of outlining silhouettes relied on sheer volume to win, successfully injuring the fat Arabian man and neutralizing his combat ability.

Beside him stood a handsome man draped in a cloak.

Watching Zenith descend from the sky, he didn't show the slightest hint of panic. He pulled off his cloak, shoved his hands into his pockets, and slowly said, "My name is Steely Dan. I possess the Stand representing The Lovers tarot card. Your existence is far too much of a hindrance. I am here on Lord Dio's orders to eliminate you!"

Steely Dan, huh? A celebrity! Zenith naturally remembered a character like this. As the saying went: an iron-forged Dan and an iron-striking Star Platinum. The man who got Ora'd by Jotaro for three and a half pages was an existence worthy of going down in history.

"You guys can't even begin to comprehend the power of my Stand. In the time you spent talking to me, my Stand has already infiltrated your body and is preparing to take control of your cranial nerves. Zenith, you were too careless!"

An incredibly tiny Stand capable of entering the human body to cause destruction. It had indeed caused quite a bit of trouble in the original story. Because he had a hostage, this guy had even wildly toyed with Jotaro, practically dancing in a minefield.

However, Zenith narrowed his eyes, staring at the highly punchable face in front of him. "What cranial nerves?"

"Your cranial nerves, of cour— Wait, what?!" Steely Dan was utterly shocked. "Impossible! Are you some kind of alien?! Why is there absolutely nothing inside your body?! No organs, no brain... How are you even alive?!"

*'What a joke. I didn't install a realistic anatomy mod, so of course my insides are completely empty,'* Zenith thought.
