"Trait 'Human' has been activated."
"Your intelligence will drastically increase to guarantee life."
At those words, something deep in Isaac began to burn. Every small movement, and glace was taking in the maximum amount of information.
Isaac looked up at the Elders and spoke.
"I'll keep it simple for you, I'm here as a messenger for my people. We had found this small corner of dirt, by accident, but like the look of it, so I am here to give the message from my higher ups."
The elders stopped their relaxed posture and turned rigid, which was what Isaac wanted. He wanted to use his new intelligence to make it look like humanity was planning to colonise the rooter home world.
He knew this would work partly due to a few facts that could only be pieced together thanks to his intelligence. Up to this point he hadn't questioned why the elder's made a camp on the other side of the Monument, but now with the facts pieced together, he relised something.
He wasn't the first person from a different world that they have met, a few key points pointed this to him, the first being, the windbless, had one job that was guarding, and protecting the wanderers, the second was there reaction to his opening statement, which almost seemed expected, but dreaded, and the finale nail, was how they already had a word for what he was "Other-worlder"
The translate spell, needs to have a similar word in both languages, to translate between, but if it was a word that was quickly made on the spot, then only the creator would understand it, but in this case, it seemed like everyone precent knew what it meant.
There was a chance they meant wanderer, but since Isaac learned the word from Tiy while under the translate spell, it meant that it was a separate word, but most likely could be interchangeable, depending on the situation.
Isaac took a shallow breath and continued speaking, but first gave a grin to the elders.
"They simply wish to make a trade route between both our worlds, and use the land here, and around the monument."
All the elders had different reactions to this. The one on the far left who made the translate circle seemed to have a glint in his eye. The one to his right was by far the most rigid out of them all, and also looked the youngest out of them all. The one in the centre, who had done most of the talking, kept glancing over his right shoulder to the youngest. The elder to the right of the centre led by and looked the most relaxed, he looked the most average out of them all, but also looked slightly like Tiy's father. The one on the far right, who was against magic, looked the most enraged at this and was on the verge of shouting.
Right as the words were about to be spilled out his mouth, a hand from the youngest stopped him. As the youngest stood up, he walked forwarded and looked down at Isaac.
"And why should we agree to this trade, and not kill you right now? Your people wouldn't have any way of knowing."
This made Isaac widen his eyes, but he kept a calm face on.
"Bold of you to assume my people can't find out if I were to die. You people might not know this, but we have a thing called a heart beat, and once it stops, it typically means your dead or close to it, and my people can track them across worlds."
Isaac began to walk closer to the altar that the elders were sitting behind.
"And as for your threat on my life."
Isaac reached into his pocket and pulled his glove, 'liar's truth,' from his true world.
"One of your men thought the same thing, but it seems even his powers, were no match to a little messenger's."
All the Elders froze, but only the one with the glint, showed a reacting that Isaac liked, it was very similar to fear, but bordered on dread. A Flash of reconsideration was plastered on his face.
Isaac slipped the glove on as he walked closer.
"So I pray that you make the best decision for your people, and for your own future."
The Elders became more rigid, but only two of them didn't care for Isaac's words, The first was the Elder that recognized the glove, and the other was the one that looked like Tiy's father.
The other elders had clear anger on their faces, but in various degrees.
Silence spread for a couple of moments before, the youngest elder spoke trying his best to hide his anger.
"What is it you want to do, at this moment?"
Isaac took a few steps back, never breaking eye contact with them.
"The closest monument, my people have is on the mountain and surrounds that, yours in the other world, so it will take us some time to build roads, and make it safe for travel in big groups."
"So until then I request that I be allowed to stay here and monitor your people. Just so that we can provide the most optimal help possible."
Isaac was hoping that they allow him to have contact with the farmers, that lived here, since having sole access to food, would be a key driving point to taking over the village, It also helped that Stug, was from a farming family, and would have connections on top of that.
All the elders turned to look at the youngest, who was the one doing the most logical talking.
"We can offer you a place to stay, but we can't give you the ability to monitor our people. Only they can give you that."
Isaac bowed, and spoke.
"That is more than enough. Now if you don't mind, I have some business to attend to with the Dame."
With that, Isaac turned around and walked away, with Tiy and Stug in tow.
As they left, the elders began talking to each other.
The youngest laid back in his chair, and spoke.
"Tell everyone under you to watch out for that man, and make sure he learns nothing new."
As Isaac leaves the temple, Tiy, walks over to him and whispers.
"What is up with you? You were like a different person in there."
Isaac shrugged.
"My racial trait is very vague, but activated, allowing me to think clearly."
"It helped put together a few things, mainly that the elders have met someone from another world, and it left an impact on them. The whole reason the windbless were made was to stop someone like me.
Tiy froze, in place, and started muttering. Inside her mind, she was going over every part of the rooter know history, and putting all the points together.
As the three of them walked down the dirt paths of the village, Stug led them through back passages, until they reached, a large farm, even by earth standers. A few people were working on the farm, be it watering plants or taking care of livestock.
Stug took the two of them into a wooden house, no bigger than a couple of meters in all directions. The second Isaac walked in the tent, he fell to his knees.
A voice whispered in his head.
"You have acquired the traits 'Overworked', and Personality Confusion'"
