Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Bulma’s New Boyfriend?

West City.

Looking at Bulma's home, Turles couldn't help but feel a bit dazed. Good grief, this place is massive... He had never lived in a house this big in either of his two lives.

"Alright, this is my place. Turles, I'm going to start modifying the spaceship in a bit. Do you have any specific requests?"

"Requests?"

Turles paused for a moment. "If possible, could you install a Gravity Chamber inside?"

"A Gravity Chamber?"

"Right. One where you can adjust the gravity levels freely."

A flash of understanding crossed Bulma's eyes. "Got it. Consider it done."

Just then, Dr. Brief walked over. He froze when he saw Turles. "Goku?? No, wait... you are..."

"My name is Turles. I just happen to look a lot like Kakarot."

"Kakarot?"

Seeing Dr. Brief's confused look, Turles explained, "Kakarot is Son Goku."

"Oh, I see... So, are you Bulma's new boyfriend?"

Dr. Brief's blunt question left both Turles and Bulma standing there in stunned silence.

"Dad! What are you talking about? We're just friends!"

Looking at the awkward Turles, Dr. Brief sighed with a hint of regret. "Is that so? That's such a shame..."

As the days passed, the modifications to the spaceship were finally completed.

Staring at the massive, circular vessel, Turles gave Bulma a thumbs-up.

"Bulma, you and your father are incredible. You finished the overhaul in just a few days."

Dr. Brief waved it off. "It was nothing. Because we were rushed and lacked some specific materials, the gravity system is currently capped at 100x. Oh, and I made sure to install a massive sound system as well..."

As Dr. Brief went on and on about his masterpiece, Turles showered him with compliments.

Bulma couldn't help but sigh internally. They're both Saiyans, so why is there such a huge difference between him and Goku?

"Alright, Dad, we're heading out soon. I'm going to go notify Goku and the others."

With that, Bulma turned and left.

Once she was out of earshot, Dr. Brief leaned in toward Turles with a sneaky grin. "So, what do you think of my daughter? I'm really rooting for you, kid!"

Turles: "???"

Wait, is it really okay for you to say that? Just how much do you look down on "Lord Yamcha"?

However, when it came to Bulma... Turles nodded thoughtfully.

Seeing Turles's reaction, Dr. Brief wore a meaningful smile.

Daughter, this is as much as your old man can help you. The rest is up to you.

After all, Turles was good-looking, well-spoken, and had a gentle temperament—clearly the type of man who would take care of his wife. Bulma had also mentioned he was incredibly powerful. He was basically the perfect candidate to marry into the family. Even if he had a massive appetite, Capsule Corp could easily afford to feed one more Saiyan.

On the other side of the compound, Bulma had no idea her father was trying to sell her off. she was busy calling Goku and the others to tell them the ship was ready.

Before long, Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin arrived.

As they stood before the ship, Bulma made a grand gesture. "Alright, everyone! Let's head out!"

Krillin looked confused. "Wait... Bulma, are you coming too?"

"Duh! Do any of you know how to fix a spaceship? If the ship breaks down out there, you're all doomed!"

The group blinked, then nodded in unison.

Bulma had a point. They were all meatheads; none of them knew the first thing about space engineering.

Turles was about to open his mouth to say that he actually knew how to operate and maintain it, but he caught Bulma's threatening glare and immediately shut up.

He who understands the times is a wise man. He couldn't afford to offend his "permanent meal ticket." Besides, he had always liked Bulma in his previous life. Now that he was in this world, there was no way he was going to hand her over to someone else.

Vegeta could go off and achieve "Super Saiyan Green" on his own!

After Bulma gave them a tour, Goku's attention was instantly captured by the Gravity Chamber.

Once everyone was packed and ready, the ship prepared for takeoff.

Dr. Brief looked at Turles. "My boy, make sure you protect Bulma!"

Turles smiled at the old man. "Don't worry, Doctor. As long as I'm there, nothing will happen to her!"

Under Dr. Brief's watchful eye, the spaceship turned into a streak of light and blasted into the depths of space.

The Gravity Chamber.

Once the ship reached a stable cruising speed, Turles brought Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin inside.

When Turles set the gravity to 2x, Goku and Piccolo barely felt a thing. Gohan, however, was a different story. Under double gravity, his back began to hunch.

"Gohan, you should probably step out. You're still a growing boy. Training in high gravity too early isn't good for your physical development."

Goku and Piccolo nodded. "He's right, Gohan. You should go train in another room for now. This is a bit too much for you at your age."

Reluctantly, Gohan gave up on the idea of using the Gravity Chamber and ran off to a normal room to train.

Turles then began explaining how to operate the chamber—specifically for Piccolo and Krillin, since he didn't expect Goku to remember any of the technical details.

"Alright, the operations are simple enough. The rest is up to you guys. I'm heading out."

Goku looked at Turles, puzzled. "Turles, aren't you going to train?"

Turles shook his head. "My current training level is beyond what you guys can keep up with. You should focus on adapting to 100x gravity first."

Watching Turles leave, the others exchanged looks before diving headfirst into their training.

Meanwhile, on an unknown planet, a spherical Attack Ball slammed violently into the ground. A scout from the Frieza Force rushed to meet it.

Upon finding a near-death Vegeta inside, the scout quickly called for reinforcements to transfer him into a Medical Machine.

Once the treatment was finished, the chamber door hissed open, and the green medicinal fluid drained away. A muscular man stepped out, his body radiating a terrifying pressure.

"Turles... Kakarot... I will never forgive you!"

This trip to Earth had been a harsh lesson for the proud prince. How could he possibly stomach such an insult? However, revenge would require a plan; he knew his current strength was insufficient.

As Vegeta finished dressing and stepped out, he ran straight into one of Frieza's direct subordinates—Cui.

"Well, well, if it isn't our dear Prince Vegeta. So, I heard you got schooled on some planet in the Solar System?"

Looking at Cui's mocking face, Vegeta let out a cold snort.

"Stay out of my business. Get out of my way!"

"Heh heh. You should worry more about how you're going to beg Lord Frieza for forgiveness once he returns from Planet Namek with his wish granted..."
