Ray sighed deeply as he lay on the ground.
It was not a sigh of sadness or fatigue, it was a sigh of satisfaction and pure unfiltered joy. It was natural that he was this happy - he had accomplished arguably his greatest feat and it was cause for genuine celebration.
Many people would have already being celebrated or still celebrating after awakening an A Grade Aperture but that was not his cause for celebration
He had Fang Yuan
If one had to choose between having an high grade aptitude, which they had the means of increasing or having a future venerable on their side
A future venerable who would from now, care more for Ray than he would himself
Would move to try and help Ray grow and make use of his 500 years of experience to do so.
The answer was so simple that even a fool could get it right
Ray smiled and pushed himself of the ground, stretching his hands above his head already thinking of the plans he could push into motion now
Having an A Grade aptitude already gave him the plan to cultivate as fast as he could, to get the means of expediting that speed such as the liquor worm as well as, as many primeval stones as possible of which he already had a means of doing so
Now that Fang Yuan was on his side he had more plans to in act
The first was needing to take that double edged sword off his hand so he would not have to turn his aperture into a stone aperture. He would also need to alter some events that Fang Yuan would experience and the timeline he would do it in
For the next month he would focus on this until there was even more things he could do.
Ray stepped over to Fang Yuans current unconscious body and squatted down
Poking the sleeping man Ray asked Raphael
'Hey Raphael.'
[Yes?']
'How long will he be unconscious for?'
[He will remain asleep for 1 to 2 hours.]
Ray sighed
He could not just leave him out here in the middle of the damn street and he did not feel like standing here for two hours
He picked up Fang Yuan and threw him over his shoulder, thankfully there was no one around since he did it too easy for someone of his build.
'Why is he unconscious in the first place?'
[The alteration of his memories caused a momentary shut down of his mind.]
'Ah...'
He smiled and started to walk
'If my memories are correct there is an inn somewhere here...'
He thought as he began to walk around
It took a while and eventually he had found his destination
Knocking on the door he stepped back and waited. Then he did so again when there was no response
Eventually he heard from inside footsteps stomping on the ground as if an angry ogre was walking down
The ogre i question was not actually that tall or threatening
He pulled the door open aggressively and yelled
"What?!"
He yelled
Ray looked down at him and dug his hand into the pouch at his waist. The mans eyes followed the sound of the primeval stones hitting each other
Ray pulled out two of them and dropped them into the mans hand
"I just need a room for the night." He said stepping in
"Of course come in young sir." The man said with an over ecstatic expression
The man started to lead him towards a room and Ray followed quietly
Opening one of the doors revealing an empty room with just a bed and desk, Ray placed Fang Yuan on the bed and stepped away turning to leave
Ray looked at the man
"Tell him my name is Gu Yue Yuxuan." He said to the man and stepped out of the room
The man stood there and nodded before going back to what Ray assumed was sleeping
He placed his hand into his pouch again and sighed, yet again
Originally after coming to the Gu world, he had no primeval stones to his name
He was given 20 by the Clan Head and that 20 ended up as 40 after he used Divine Copy immortal Gu
He then used 20 in cultivating and 1 for his meal and drink at the tavern, and now 2 for Fang Yuans stay
'17 primeval stones...' He thought
He needed to increase his wealth in this regard and he needed to do so quickly.
For now he planned to not use any nor did he need to, he could cultivate mildly during this week and relying only on his natural essence recovery rate - he also did not need to pay for meals since that was something that was covered by the fact he was living in the clan heads home.
He could save these stones and hold out till he gets his first Gu
Once he gets his first Gu he already had a plan to get rich quickly
This meant that for the next 6 days he needed to wait patiently
'Fang Yuan was right...' He laughed inwardly
Having resources was always a help.
