At her words, Zane Hawthorne, who was driving, couldn't help but glance over at her.
"Jasper Hawthorne? Are you sure?"
Meeting his gaze, Zoe Rhodes nodded emphatically. "I'm sure!"
The car stopped at a red light. Zane Hawthorne stared at the endless stream of traffic ahead and said after a long moment, "As far as I know, he and Ethan Rhodes have never crossed paths."
Zoe Rhodes made a curious sound. "Not once in the past ten years?"
"That's right."
"He only recently joined The Hawthorne Group and hasn't been assigned to any major projects, so he's never dealt with Ethan Rhodes on business matters. And privately, he's only active in the Capella Circle."
The implication was that Jasper Hawthorne had no opportunity to get close to Ethan Rhodes.
Even if Jasper Hawthorne managed to make a name for himself in the Porten Circle, his status wasn't high enough to reach Ethan Rhodes.
Zane Hawthorne's tone was certain, giving Zoe Rhodes no reason to doubt him.
