The next morning's sunlight shone on Ruan Fu. She rolled over subconsciously, reaching out a hand, only to touch thin air and a cold bed.
She opened her eyes. An Rui was no longer by her side; it seemed he had left early again.
Rubbing her eyes, Ruan Fu sat up in bed. A bouquet of fresh Moonlight Vine flowers sat on the stone table in the center of the cave. So, this was where the floral scent she had smelled yesterday came from.
Ruan Fu changed her clothes, found a new spot for the flowers, and gave a lazy stretch. Just then, she noticed Lu'er's attendant standing outside the cave. He gave her a slight nod and said, "The Clan Leader has requested your presence."
Ruan Fu frowned slightly. She wondered why Lu'er would be looking for her so early in the morning. She couldn't help but press for details, "Did he say what it's about?"
