Seeing someone else was there, the person following Willow West quickly retreated.
Only then did the tension in Willow West's heart ease.
For the past ten-odd days, Willow West had been so busy with work that she had no time to miss Aiden Pierce.
Whether it was the panic of being followed or that their ten-odd days of separation had felt too long, seeing Aiden Pierce today made Willow West suddenly feel as if the hollowness in her heart had been filled.
That feeling of fullness and contentment was marvelous.
It was a feeling she had never experienced before.
Still reeling from the scare and unsure what she was feeling, Willow West found herself running uncontrollably toward Aiden Pierce the moment she saw him.
By the end of September in Aethelgard, the temperature had dropped, and a cool wind was rustling through the air.
As she ran toward him, her long, curly hair bounced and flew in the wind. Her bright eyes sparkled with the joy of their reunion after a short separation.
