Xu Chang'an did not stop Yanyue True Monarch's Nascent Soul from escaping.
In truth, in his current state, even if he had the will to stop it, he lacked the strength.
The small sword in his hand still looked the same, but without its Sword Spirit, it was now worthless.
It could only be considered a sturdy, sharp collectible.
'Yanyue True Monarch's Nascent Soul escaped, and with all the commotion from the battle, this place is no longer safe!'
Xu Chang'an took several Healing Elixirs from his Storage Bag and swallowed them one after another.
Then, forcing his weakened body onward, he took the Storage Bag and Beast Taming Pouch from Yanyue True Monarch's corpse.
As one would expect of items carried by a Nascent Soul Realm Great Cultivator, these two—the Storage Bag and the Beast Taming Pouch—were extraordinary and of an extremely high grade.
With no time to inspect their contents, Xu Chang'an activated a Third-tier Escape Demon Talisman, chose a direction, and fled.
