Georgia walked over. "What are you two talking about?"
Elliot took her hand. "I was just thinking about how to convince my brother-in-law to come work for my company. How about you help me out?"
If Georgia asked, Byron was sure to agree.
Georgia rolled her eyes at him and pulled her hand from his grasp. "I'm staying out of that."
Byron chuckled. "You lose!"
Elliot picked up his glass. "I'll drink three glasses as my penalty!"
"Were you two betting on me?" Georgia glared at them angrily.
The two men glanced at each other, smiled, and said in unison, "No."
Georgia scoffed, not believing them for a second.
Time ticked by, and it was nearly midnight.
Beautiful fireworks continuously bloomed in the distant dark sky. Selena, suddenly energized, immediately pulled Georgia outside to watch.
Selena had bought some fireworks earlier, but when she took them out, she realized she didn't have a lighter. Georgia hurried back inside to get one from Elliot.
