That night, Olivia Wynne had finished washing up and was about to go to bed when she heard the doorbell ring.
Peering through the peephole and seeing it was Zachary Fairchild's assistant, Olivia Wynne immediately opened the door.
Liam Lanier stood ringing the doorbell, glancing over at Zachary Fairchild, who stood calmly to one side.
'As far as I can remember, the Director rarely forgets his keys. I wonder why he doesn't have them today. And he lives alone… So if he forgot his keys, why isn't he calling a locksmith? Could someone be home?'
Just as Liam Lanier was pondering this, the door swung open from the inside.
"Miss... Miss Wynne."
Liam Lanier was dumbfounded.
Zachary Fairchild gave Liam Lanier a push and stepped inside.
"You can go now."
With that, Zachary Fairchild shut the door.
Liam Lanier stood outside the door, motionless for a long moment.
'I didn't just imagine that, did I? Miss Wynne is living at the Director's house.'
