Chapter 88 - Chapter 89: Miss Wynne, What a Coincidence

Outside the private room where Olivia was, Liam Lanier glanced at the closed door, then back at Zachary Fairchild.

"Sir, it's probably not a good idea for us to just go in like this, is it? Besides, the trainees are all in another private room. Shouldn't you go and say hello?"

"I'm not going. What's wrong with it?" the man asked in a deep voice, his eyes cutting into Liam Lanier like a sword.

Liam Lanier took a step to the right and chuckled nervously. "Nothing's wrong."

"Should I knock?" Liam Lanier asked uncertainly.

Zachary Fairchild's expression was serene. "You're the one who brought me here," he said calmly. "So you knock."

'So,' Liam thought, 'the boss is going to pin this all on me? When Miss Wynne asks why we're here, he'll have the perfect excuse to say it wasn't his idea to come.'

'So devious.'

Despite complaining internally, Liam Lanier obediently knocked on the door.

"Come in," a girl sitting closest to the door called out upon hearing the knock.
