The soundproofing in the house was excellent, so Evelyn Grant heard none of the commotion downstairs from her room, remaining completely oblivious.
She was having a wonderful time unboxing a beauty mystery box. Out of twenty-four small boxes, she pulled out at least twenty full-sized products and only four samples.
Evelyn Grant giggled. "My luck is way too good."
Chloe Holmes watched from the side, her chin resting in her hand, a fond smile on her face as she saw how happy Evelyn was.
'The truth was, she knew which beauty products Evelyn liked and wanted, so she had replaced all the original items in the mystery box with things she had bought herself. To keep Evelyn from getting suspicious, she had deliberately left four samples inside.'
It was her Christmas gift.
"I got so many things I wanted!" she said, ecstatic and still craving more. "Unboxing mystery boxes is so much fun."
It made all of Chloe Holmes's days of preparation worthwhile.
