Chapter 102 - Chapter 102 A Heart Fluttering

"Wow! It's so clean!" Carly was shocked again as soon as she entered the village.

The entire village was very clean, without a trace of sewage, and there were no large livestock in sight.

Carly was puzzled. Where had all the livestock in the village gone? The more Carly walked, the more incredulous she felt.

"Fatty, have you ever seen a village like this?" Carly asked, looking at the person next to her.

"No, this is the best village I've ever seen. I've never seen a village so clean and with such nice houses. It's almost like a village in heaven." The fat man couldn't believe that such a wonderful place existed in the world.

Carly was filled with curiosity about the lord of this place; she wanted to see what kind of person he was who could manage this village so well.

She quickened her pace unconsciously; she was eager to visit the lord.

A moment later

A large stone statue appeared before Carly in the open space ahead, surrounded by a wooden fence. In the distance, something was pasted on a strange wooden board; the words were illegible from afar, but a red circle stood out prominently. Carly was currently behind the statue.

There is no lord's house here. Could it be that statue? Is this the lord the villagers are talking about?

The statue was very tall. Carly walked slowly along the wooden fence toward the front of the statue.

"Ah!" Carly felt as if the statue in front of her had walked out from the depths of time, carrying a unique majesty and fortitude.

His face was sharply defined, with strong, chiseled lines. His high, straight nose, like a towering mountain peak, exuded an indomitable pride. His thick, upward-sloping eyebrows, like an eagle spreading its wings, revealed a fearless spirit. His tightly closed lips, with slightly downturned corners, conveyed an undeniable determination. His deep-set eyes gazed into the distance, their gaze piercing, as if able to penetrate the fog and foresee the ever-changing future.

The statue's expression is calm and solemn, its slightly raised chin revealing an innate confidence and pride. He wears a long robe, the hem of which seems to flutter gently in the wind, adding to his dashing and heroic air. He stands tall and straight, his posture as upright as a pine tree, radiating a unique aura.

One can sense a powerful spiritual strength emanating from him. It is the courage to forge ahead in the face of difficulties and obstacles, the unwavering commitment to upholding justice and truth, and the selfless dedication to ideals and beliefs.

Carly was stunned for a moment, then immediately recognized the statue as belonging to the stranger. She never imagined that the stranger was the lord of this territory.

Carly recalled her earlier conversation with the villagers, the carefree children playing at the village entrance, and the clean and tidy houses inside the village. Carly felt that this outsider was a very kind lord, far better than the lords back home.

A subtle change was taking place within her. She was reluctant to tell the muscular man about this outsider; she didn't want to ruin the beautiful life she had here.

She was calculating in her mind. She was going to tell the stranger about the robbers, but she wanted to test first whether the stranger had the ability to capture all the robbers. If the robbers escaped, her family would still be in danger.

What should we do? Outsiders will definitely recognize her, and if the fat man is there, the truth will be revealed. Asking the villagers to pass on the message won't be clear enough.

That outsider should be inside that dilapidated castle. We need to find a way to get this fat guy out of there.

Carly looked up at the statue again, the colorful sunlight shining on it, making it look even more dazzling.

She is truly like a rainbow!
