Chapter 124 - Chapter 124 'Fatty'

"Sister Adelaide, were all those beautiful houses in front built by Lord Ed for free?" Carly had been curious since she first arrived, but she hadn't had a chance to ask. These houses would have been very difficult for the villagers to build.

"Yes, Carly, the best house here used to be the castle, and now the worst house here is the castle. The owner would rather live in that dilapidated castle himself than not repair the houses in Peach Blossom Village." Adelaide praised Ed highly.

If Ed knew what these words were, I wonder how happy he would be?

"Ah! Lord Ed is such a kind man."

Carly thought of their lord, who was already being generous by not trying to raise taxes, let alone repairing houses for free.

Compared to the outside world, this place is practically an ideal utopia.

"Sister Adelaide, and this farm looks huge! Are all the livestock in the territory kept here?" Carly was genuinely curious, as this place was so far from their territory.

However, she finally understood why she hadn't seen any large livestock on her first visit to the village; they were all in this place.

"Yes, Carly, look, the milk you drank last time was milked from there. The milk is delicious." Adelaide pointed happily to the cows in the distant shed.

Is milk delicious? Carly doesn't think so.

"Huh? That person looks familiar!" Carly spotted a familiar face, but she wasn't sure because the outline didn't match, only the appearance was somewhat similar, like the way they walked and talked. It was a feeling that they were similar.

"Fatty," Carly called out tentatively, taking a few steps forward.

The man turned around, a look of surprise on his face.

"Ah! Carly, it's you? Did you stay to work too? That milk was really no good! I still get scared just thinking about it." The fat man unconsciously touched his butt after saying that.

Yes, this person really is that fat robber; he works at the farm now.

Carly looked at the fat man—no, he couldn't be called 'fat man' anymore.

"Hahaha." Carly couldn't help but laugh when she saw the robber who had gone from fat to thin. The contrast was just too much!

"Mr. Robber, you've lost your only redeeming quality."

"Sigh, there's nothing we can do, it's just that the milk is too potent." The fat man is now terrified whenever he sees cows. The scene from that banquet that night involuntarily flashes before his eyes.

"Ah! This lady is absolutely dazzling!" The fat man exclaimed as he saw Adelaide under the red bowler hat.

"Hello, Mr. robber, my name is Adelaide."

The fat man was taken aback; this beautiful Miss Adelaide actually knew his former name. Oh, perhaps Carly had spoken too loudly earlier.

"No, no, Miss Adelaide, that's all in the past. I think 'Fatty' sounds better. Carly's name is quite good, I'm quite satisfied with it."

If Ed is even one point like he used to be, then the fat guy is zero.

"Right, Fatty? I'm not bad, am I? You're always complaining." Although it's not appropriate to call me Fatty anymore, I'm used to it and it still sounds better.

The fat man stopped worrying about the name.

"By the way, Carly, what are you doing in the territory now?" The fat man was very curious about what Carly was doing now, because he hadn't seen Carly since that dinner.

"Me!" Carly's eyes darted around as she looked at the fat man with a smile.

"What?" The fat man felt a little uneasy under her gaze. Based on past experience, it was never anything good.

"I'm Lord Edd's VIP now, and I don't have to do anything," Carly said with a grin.

"How come you're always a VIP wherever you go?" the fat man asked, somewhat bewildered.

"Want to know?" Carly asked, like a coaxing little devil.

"Thinking" fat people don't need temptation; they will actively move towards them.

Carly moved closer to the fat man.

"That's because..."
