Chapter 34 - Chapter 30: Part At Watson Mansion 4.0

Jayjay'sPOV

"Ohoooooooooooo!" the entire room cheered and wolf-whistled the exact second Keifer struck the final chord of the song.

Everyone was losing their minds, but I was just so incredibly happy that I completely froze in place. I couldn't even move a single muscle; I just sat there with a massive, unstoppable smile plastered across my face.

"Damn, bro, that was absolutely awesome!" David praised, walking over and heartily patting Keifer's back. Keifer just gave a casual nod, his eyes still locked entirely on me.

"So, who exactly was that masterpiece for?" Freya asked, a massive, knowing grin on her face.

"You all already know," Keifer replied smoothly.

The entire squad immediately erupted into a fresh wave of loud teasing. Once the chaos settled, all the guys moved across the room to sit down with their respective girls, and Keifer walked over to slide onto the couch right beside me.

"Do you like it?" he murmured, leaning in slightly.

I looked at him, keeping my face deadpan. "No, I don't like it."

The vibrant shine in his dark eyes instantly vanished, replaced by a flash of confusion.

"Because I absolutely love it," I added quickly, breaking into a grin. He let out a soft breath, and we both laughed together.

Denzel leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "Hey Jayjay, do you actually know the real story behind this song?"

"Nu-uh," I replied, shaking my head curiously.

"Keifer actually wrote this song a long time ago, but he completely refused to ever sing it," Aries exposed.

"We kept asking him why he wouldn't perform it, and do you know what he told us?" Calix continued.

"He said that he would never, ever sing this song out loud until he was genuinely in love," Percy chimed in.

"And he just sang it right now," Yuri added, smirking.

"So, that officially means that he is deeply in love," David finished triumphantly, clapping his hands together.

Keifer leaned a fraction closer, his voice dropping to a soft whisper meant only for me. "With you."

I felt a sudden, intense heat rush straight to my face, my cheeks burning a bright crimson.

"Oh my gosh, are you actually blushing right now?" Ella asked gleefully, reaching over to playfully rub my hot cheek.

"Nope! Absolutely not. It's just incredibly hot in here," I lied quickly, fanning my face. Ella just nodded with a sarcastic smile.

"No, it's definitely not hot," Freya corrected flatly.

"Yeah, because the central AC is literally turned on full blast right now," Rakki added, completely exposing me.

"She's totally blushing! She's just trying to deny it," Grace teased, giggling.

"Your entire face is turning as red as a tomato, girl," Mica laughed, and the rest of the girls joined in, laughing even harder at my misery.

"Umm... let's just all go to sleep now!" I announced loudly, desperately trying to change the subject.

Fortunately, they all took the hint and nodded, suddenly realizing how exhausted they actually were.

"Jayjay, why don't you show the girls to their guest rooms, and I'll go show the boys where they're staying," Keifer suggested.

I nodded in agreement. We all pushed ourselves up from the couches. Keifer began leading the guys away, while I turned to the girls and gestured for them to follow me down the grand hallway. We stopped in front of a long row of beautiful, elegant doors.

"Okay, so here we are. You guys can honestly pick whichever room you want," I said, smiling warmly at them.

Rakki paused, looking around the pristine hallway before turning her suspicious gaze to me. "Okay, wait a minute. How do you know the layout of this entire mansion so perfectly?"

"I told you guys before, I stayed here for a few days a while back," I explained gently. "When I was staying here, Keifer took the time to show me around the entire mansion."

The girls all nodded in understanding, bidding me goodnight before happily scattering into their chosen rooms. With the girls safely settled, I turned around and started making my way back toward the main living room. But as I rounded a corner, I completely lost focus and walked straight into a solid chest, bumping forcefully into Keifer's shoulder.

"Oww!" I winced, immediately lifting a hand to rub my forehead where it had collided with his hard shoulder.

"Hey, are you okay? Does it hurt?" he asked instantly, his voice laced with concern as he leaned down to gently check my forehead.

"Not that much, it's fine," I mumbled, dropping my hand.

He stepped back slightly, giving me a soft look. "Your room is right beside mine, upstairs."

I nodded, a massive yawn suddenly taking over. "Okay, let's go then. I desperately want to sleep now."

Keifer led the way upstairs, and we walked down the upper corridor to our respective rooms. The second I stepped inside my room, I immediately threw myself straight onto the plush bed, completely drained from the wild night.

As I lay there in the quiet room, I couldn't help but smile up at the ceiling. Thank goodness the electricity had finally kicked back on right when Keifer was singing. Honestly, it had felt exactly like a scene straight out of a movie—the way the lights suddenly blazed back to life the exact moment he hit those loud, passionate final notes, making the whole experience ten times more magical.

With the beautiful memory of him singing floating peacefully through my mind, I slowly closed my eyes and drifted off into a deep, happy sleep.

In the middle of the night, I was suddenly jolted awake by a soft, persistent knocking on my bedroom door. I groaned quietly, slid out of bed, and padlocked across the floor to open it. To my surprise, all the girls were standing out in the hallway, clutching their pillows tightly to their chests.

"We just can't sleep down there, Jay," Ella muttered in a deeply sleepy voice, shuffling past me before dropping face-first onto my bed.

"Yeah, I wasn't sleeping well either. Let's just all sleep together," I said.

The girls nodded in instant relief. Thank goodness the master bed in this room was absolutely massive—it was so incredibly huge that all seven of us easily fit without a problem. I immediately reached out and hugged Freya, since she happened to be the closest to me, and she sleepily hugged me right back. Within minutes, all of us girls were fast asleep.

Percy'sPOV

Hehehe! I didn't sleep a single wink the entire night. My aura had dropped to a critical minus ever since the squad brutally branded me a crybaby during the movie, and I desperately wanted my sweet revenge.

As soon as the clock ticked later into the night, I crept out of bed and marched straight into Yuri's room.

"Wake up, you matchstick, and come with me!" I whispered loudly. Before he could even utter a word of protest, I forcefully dragged him out of his warm bed.

Using the same aggressive tactics, I went on a rolling mission to wake up Denzel, then David, and then Calix. Finally, I reached Aries. Trying to wake up that stubborn horoscope enthusiast was a literal nightmare.

"Hoi, horoscope! Wake up!" I hissed.

Aries just grunted and rolled over, changing his position.

"HOI!!!" I yelled under my breath, aggressively shaking his shoulders until his eyes finally snapped open.

"What the hell, Percy?!" he snapped, glaring at the assembly of boys standing in his room.

"This blue-eyed idiot forcefully dragged us out of bed," Yuri grumbled, letting out a massive yawn. "I'm going back to sleep." He turned around to leave, but I quickly lunged forward and blocked his path.

"Listen up, none of you are going anywhere," I commanded, lowering my voice into a conspiratorial whisper. "Let's go tease the girls."

The second the word tease left my mouth, the groggy expressions on their faces instantly vanished. They looked fully awake.

"It's literally 2:00 AM, you stupid idiot," Aries pointed out, checking his phone.

"Yeah, but exactly one hour ago, I saw every single one of the girls sneaking upstairs with their pillows," I explained, a smirk forming on my face. "I secretly followed them and saw them all pile into Jayjay's room. Our task is incredibly simple now—they are all trapped in one single room."

The boys' eyes lit up as the genius of my plan fully set in.

"Count me in," David grinned.

"Me too," Calix agreed.

"I think... me too," Yuri said, thoughtfully scratching his head.

"Maybe me too," Denzel joined.

"Okay, fine," Aries sighed, and my smirk widened.

"Wait, what about Keifer?" Yuri asked suddenly.

"We obviously have to go wake him up too," I replied.

Instantly, the entire group started furiously cursing me under their breaths. Ignoring them, we tiptoed over to Keifer's room and peered inside. He was sleeping so incredibly peacefully. Man, my baby sister is definitely not going to like how quiet this room is after they get married.

"Keifer," I called out softly. He didn't even budge.

"Hey, man," David tried, shaking his shoulder lightly. Nothing.

"Wake up, bro," Calix whispered, but Keifer was deep in dreamland.

"Dude, seriously," Denzel muttered, shaking him a bit harder.

Yuri stepped up. "Hey, Keifer!" He reached out and aggressively tried to yank the blanket off him, but Keifer's grip was like iron—he completely refused to let it go even in his sleep.

"Keifer, wake up!" Aries finally hissed, shaking him forcefully.

That did the trick. Keifer woke up instantly, sitting up and glaring at us with a look of pure confusion. "What?" he demanded, his voice rough.

"Man, we've been trying to wake you up for a literal eternity, but you wouldn't even open your eyes," I complained, patronizingly patting his shoulder.

"Why are you idiots waking me up in the middle of the night?" he asked, crossing his arms.

"Because we're planning to prank the girls," Yuri exposed eagerly.

Keifer stared at us deadpan. "So?"

"And we need you to promise you won't breathe a single word to Jayjay," Aries added.

Keifer rolled his eyes and immediately began to lie back down, pulling the blanket over his shoulders. "You guys go ahead and prank your girls. Let mine sleep peacefully."

"How are we supposed to separate them when they're all crammed into the exact same room?" David asked.

Keifer shot back up instantly, his dark eyes sharpening. "What?"

"An hour ago, every single girl went upstairs to sleep in Jayjay's room," Calix explained.

"Why?" Keifer asked, his brow furrowing.

"Damn it, we don't know! We weren't exactly in the room with them!" Aries snapped, getting annoyed.

Keifer sighed. "Why do you all even want to prank them anyway?"

"Because we lost the board games, we failed the fire noodle challenge, and even during Truth or Dare, they somehow got all the incredibly easy ones!" Yuri ranted.

"That's entirely your own fault because you guys are just naturally bad at everything. It's not theirs," Keifer replied smoothly, completely roasting us.

"Can you please stop being a perfect gentleman for two seconds and just give us the water guns?" I pleaded, rolling my eyes.

Keifer stared at me for a moment before finally nodding. He slid out of bed and led us downstairs. We followed him like a pack of wolves as he walked into a storage utility room, eventually emerging with an armful of sleek water guns, distributing them among us.

Denzel looked at Keifer's empty hands. "Where's yours?"

"I'm not involving myself in your childish nonsense," Keifer said coldly, turning to walk away.

Wow, so boring. But Aries and Yuri weren't having it. They quickly lunged forward, grabbed Keifer by his arms, and forcefully dragged him along with us anyway.

We silently tip-toed back upstairs and crept toward Jayjay's bedroom door. Slowly, quietly, we pushed the door open. My jaw dropped. It was a massive bed, sure... but it was completely empty. Where on earth were the girls?

"What the—"

"Where did that come from?!"

"Ouch! I think it only hit me!"

"Wait, another one!"

"What is going on?!"

"Where are these coming from?!"

"Hold on, we only got hit by two!"

"Hey, I didn't get hit by a single one!"

The entire group erupted into a chaotic, whispering panic as a sudden barrage of wet missiles exploded violently against our backs—hitting every single one of us except for Keifer.

"What the heck was that?!" Calix yelled, spinning around.

We all whipped around in unison, only to be met with a glorious, terrifying sight. One after another, a relentless downpour of heavy water balloons came flying at us, launched with perfect precision by our very own girls.

"Prank us, will you?" Honey asked, a vicious smirk on her face as she launched another balloon straight at my handsome face.

"Not even in your wildest dreams!" Jayjay shouted triumphantly. But I noticed that none of them were aiming anywhere near Keifer. Even Jayjay completely avoided hitting him.

"Go on! Go on, try and prank us now!" Ella cheered, throwing another balloon that burst perfectly against Aries' chest.

Freya laughed loudly, crossing her arms as we dripped with water. "The hunters just became prey here!"

"How... how did you guys even know?!" Aries spluttered, accidentally swallowing a mouthful of water as a balloon exploded near his face.

"None of your business!" Mica shouted back gleefully.

"Now this is what you call real fun!" Grace chimed in, and the girls roared with laughter.

"You guys lost every single game tonight, and now you managed to lose this too!" Rakki teased mercilessly.

The girls' laughter echoed loudly through the hallway, and to my absolute betrayal, Keifer was standing right beside them, a giant smirk plastered across his face. Finally, the balloon assault came to an end because they had completely run out of ammo. The hallway was a literal swamp, and the six of us stood there, looking like completely drenched, pathetic rats.

Yuri wiped water from his eyes and pointed an angry finger at Keifer. "Why didn't any of you throw a single balloon at him?!"

Jayjay stepped forward, crossing her arms proudly. "Was he actually a part of your stupid plan? No. We literally watched you guys drag him out of his room against his will."

Keifer's smirk grew even wider. Wow my own baby sista betrayed me.

Jayjay'sPOV

An hour ago, when the girls had first piled into my room, we realized we were running a bit short on blankets for everyone. I had quietly slipped out of the room to go ask Keifer for an extra one, but the moment I approached his door, I overheard the boys aggressively forcing him to help them prank us.

My eyes widened. I turned right on my heel and sprinted back into my room, slamming the door shut quietly.

"Girls! The boys are literally on their way to prank us right now!" I whispered breathlessly, causing everyone to sit up instantly.

"What? How?!" Freya asked, her eyes narrowing.

"I think they're going to use water guns," I said. I quickly lunged toward my travel bag and unzipped it, pulling out a giant pack of unused balloons I had brought along. I dumped them onto the bed. "Quick, fill these up in the bathroom! We're going to make their own plan backfire completely."

The girls all nodded, massive, mischievous grins spreading across their faces. We quickly filled the balloons with water from the bathroom tap and snuck out into the dark hallway, hiding a short distance away. We watched from the shadows as the boys finally marched down the corridor, literally dragging a highly annoyed Keifer along by his arms.

"Don't throw a single balloon at Keifer. He wasn't a part of this," I quickly whispered to the girls.

"Yeah, we can clearly see they're dragging him," Ella whispered back with a giggle.

The moment the boys stepped into my empty room, we ambushed them from behind, launching a ruthless water balloon attack. During the absolute chaos, I caught Keifer's eye and signaled for him to come stand beside me. He obeyed instantly, trotting over to my side like a compliant, well-behaved child.

Once our ammo ran completely dry, we finally stopped.

"Damn it, bro! Because of your brilliant idea, we are now completely drenched!" Aries roared, glaring fiercely at Percy.

In a split second, all the boys turned their water guns on Percy, unleashing a relentless, high-pressure stream of water at him.

"AHHH! It wasn't just my fault!" Percy shrieked, spinning around and sprinting down the hallway for dear life. He scrambled into his guest room, slammed the door shut, and locked it instantly.

The rest of the boys marched off to their own rooms, furiously cursing Percy's entire existence under their breaths.

Ella looked around at the damp floor, turning an apologetic expression toward Keifer. "We made an absolute mess of your house, Keifer. Sorry."

"It's completely fine," Keifer replied smoothly, not bothered at all. "It will all be completely cleaned up by the staff before we even wake up tomorrow morning."

The girls all nodded in relief.

"I think we should all probably head back to our separate rooms now," Honey suggested, letting out a yawn.

The others readily agreed, bidding us goodnight before dispersing into their respective rooms, finally leaving Keifer and me standing alone in the quiet hallway.

I looked up at him, a warm smile breaking across my face. "I knew you wouldn't actually prank me like they wanted to."

Keifer looked down at me, a soft expression in his eyes as he reached out and gently ruffled my hair. "Now go back to sleep. It's incredibly late."

"Fine," I chuckled softly.

I turned and walked back into my bedroom, while he headed back down the hallway to his, both of us smiling as the chaotic night finally came to an end.

The End 🌸.
