Jeffrey opened his eyes, his body afloat in what seemed like never ending blackness. Thoughts eluded him.

A white door appeared before him, with a black doorknob. It glowed a dim blue, and as he floated toward it, beyond the door was nothing. Empty.

He used his hand. He reached for the door.

Jeffrey caught his hand. He turned around, and there, he saw another door. This time, it was red, with a golden doorknob. He stared at it, his eyes scanning for anything amiss.

He turned his back on the scarlet door.

His palm reached the white door, and slowly, it creaked open. He entered. Through the door was the void, with an altar at the very middle.

It held a book.

His body drifted forward, his mind serene, and without pause, he grabbed the book.

No more deaths.

[His light kept us safe.

His countless hands pulled us in his embrace. Our souls enlightened, our minds at peace.

He made us whole.

Like how we were always meant to be.

He kept our souls pure with his light. It will never be harmed. Never be stained. Never be corrupted.
