The first Sentinel charged.
Its blade came down in a powerful overhead strike, aimed directly at Emric's head.
He raised his shield.
CLANG!
The impact sent a heavy shock through his arms.
Emric gritted his teeth as his boots slid backward through the ash.
The Sentinel was stronger than him.
Much stronger.
But he hadn't intended to stop the attack completely.
Instead, he tilted his shield and guided the blade to one side.
The curved weapon scraped across the metal before striking the ground.
BOOM!
Ash exploded upward.
The Sentinel leaned forward, momentarily exposed.
"Renna!"
"Already on it!"
THWACK! THWACK!
Two storm arrows flew past Emric.
The first struck the Sentinel's left shoulder, right where the thick armor met its upper arm.
CRACK!
Purple sparks burst from the impact.
The second arrow hit almost the same spot.
BZZT!
Storm energy spread through the damaged joint, causing the construct's left arm to jerk.
Renna grinned.
"Ha! Got you!"
