Chapter 35 - The Final Chapter:-

A deep silence had taken over the courtroom.

Every eye was fixed on just one man —

Vivek Verma

Now he had no power left to protect him…

no lies…

no system.

But even then, he was not ready to speak the truth.

Only when the Judge threatened to send him to the remand room…

did fear finally appear in his eyes.

At that moment, he understood—

There was no escape left anymore.

Vivek slowly lowered his head…

and finally began to speak.

Vivek:

"Your Honor… I will tell the whole truth…"

The courtroom fell completely silent.

Everyone listened carefully.

Vivek:

"This didn't start today…

It all began 10 years ago…"

"When my brother became an MLA… people from the village used to borrow money from me."

"In return, they paid interest…"

"But that small amount of money was never enough for me."

"So I came up with another way."

"I started arranging marriages for poor girls."

"But I deliberately found men…"

"who were difficult to marry."

"Some of them were already married once or twice…"

"and some were suffering from deadly diseases…"

"In exchange for arranging those marriages…

I used to take huge amounts of money from the groom's families…"

"But even that greed wasn't enough."

His voice grew heavier.

"So I started an even dirtier game…"

A wave of tension spread across the courtroom.

Vivek:

"For this game… I created a complete plan."

"On the wedding night…

in the name of rituals…"

"the bride and groom were kept inside the haveli…"

"Rukmani Devi used to mix sedatives into the bride's milk…"

"And Aman Verma did the same with the groom…"

"Both of them would become unconscious in separate rooms…"

Hearing this—

Vikram clenched his fists tightly.

The anger in his eyes was impossible to hide.

Judge:

"And after that…?"

Vivek:

"After that… I invited powerful men from the city…"

"They attended the wedding pretending to be guests…"

"And in exchange for money…"

"I allowed them to sleep with the unconscious girls…"

The courtroom was shaken.

Some people closed their eyes in horror.

Others lowered their heads in shame.

Komal's husband quietly held her hand…

as if silently telling her—

he would always stand beside her.

People in the courtroom began shouting in anger.

Judge:

"Order! Order! Everyone remain silent!"

Then he looked at Vivek again.

Judge:

"Continue."

Vivek:

"That wasn't all…"

"We also recorded videos of everything…"

"So that if any girl ever tried to speak…"

"we could blackmail her."

"But until today… no girl ever understood what had happened…"

"because they were unconscious…"

"And by morning… they remembered nothing…"

Now the courtroom had fallen completely silent again.

Even the media cameras seemed frozen.

The Judge took a deep breath.

Judge (in a stern voice):

"Enough!"

At that moment—

Krishna stood up.

Krishna:

"Your Honor… one question still remains."

Judge:

"What question?"

Krishna:

"A simple one…"

"What was Salim Darji's fault?"

"Why was he killed?"

Vivek closed his eyes.

For a few seconds…

he remained silent.

And then—

Aman suddenly spoke.

Aman:

"I'll answer that."

"That night…"

"When Salim came to the haveli to deliver the lehenga…"

"He saw everything through the window…"

"And then…"

"he noticed me."

"We got scared…"

"We were afraid he would expose the truth to everyone…"

"So we created the entire plan…"

"First, we spread a false rumor through the temple loudspeaker…"

"That Salim had slaughtered a cow inside his house…"

"Then we provoked the crowd…"

"And mixed our own men into the mob…"

"And through that mob…"

"we got him killed…"

The entire courtroom froze.

Salma completely broke down.

She burst into tears.

But those tears were no longer just of pain…

They were tears of justice.

Nobody could believe—

that humanity itself had been betrayed so brutally.

Slowly, Salma walked toward Vikram.

With trembling hands…

she folded them before him.

Salma (crying):

"Thank you…"

"You didn't let my faith break…"

"Today… you finally gave us justice…"

Vikram said nothing.

He simply lowered his head quietly.

Then suddenly—

Vikram spoke again.

Vikram:

"Your Honor… one criminal still remains."

Everyone looked at him in shock.

Judge:

"Who are you referring to, Mr. Vikram?"

Vikram:

"Inspector Ashok."

"He is also involved in this crime."

"He was the one who replaced the memory card while it was in police custody."

"The same memory card…"

"that contained all the evidence."

"That is why it appeared empty during the hearing."

"He was working with them…"

"So he deserves punishment too."

⚖️ Final Verdict

The Judge finally began delivering the verdict—

"Based on the evidence and witness statements presented before this court…"

"Vivek Verma, Rukmani Devi, Aman Verma, Sunil Verma, Shekhar Verma…"

"and all co-accused…"

"are found guilty of serious crimes."

"All of them are sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment."

"Without immediate bail."

"Further investigations and action will also be taken against the other influential people involved in these crimes."

"Inspector Ashok is sentenced to 2 years imprisonment for tampering with evidence…"

"And is permanently suspended from service."

A deep breath echoed through the courtroom.

Today—

truth had finally won.

Every newspaper…

every television channel…

was covering only one story.

A few days later—

Vikram's suspension was revoked.

And not only was he reinstated—

he returned with a promotion.

Now—

ACP Vikram stood stronger than ever.

Beside him stood—

Ravi,

Pankaj,

and Meena.

Salim Darji's family had finally received justice.

And the case against the other powerful people involved—

was now being handled by ACP Vikram himself.

The haveli now stood abandoned…

Where there was once noise and celebration…

only silence remained.

And buried inside that silence…

were the screams of countless girls.

But this time—

they had received justice.

"No matter how powerful a lie becomes…"

"The truth only needs time…"

"Because in the end…"

"It is always the truth that wins."
