Chapter 906 - The True Enemy! The Path to the Third Law! Making Changes

Chapter 906: The True Enemy! The Path to the Third Law! Making Changes

Initially, Stella Vermillion and Kurogane Shizuku getting swept up in the chaos had been nothing more than an accident, a wild side effect of Ren's overflowing power.

But what was done was done. There was no running from reality.

Stella, for her part, recognized the shift in her own heart. The fondness she harbored for Ren had blossomed into something concrete. It felt entirely natural, a quiet warmth settling in her chest. So, the Crimson Princess dropped the act, casting aside her usual stubborn facade without a second thought.

Kurogane Shizuku was a different story entirely.

While the other girls crowded around Ren, bombarding him with worried questions and relieved sighs, the petite water manipulator stood off to the side. Her head remained bowed, silver bangs casting long shadows over her eyes. Her emotions were a tangled, chaotic mess.

Objectively speaking, she had only met this man once. Her initial impression? He was mysterious, overwhelmingly powerful, and an absolute, unapologetic pervert. Yet, the things they had just done together... those were acts reserved for the most intimate of lovers. Hell, even deeply devoted couples probably didn't cross the intense, boundary-shattering lines they had just crossed.

Shizuku had no idea how to even look at him right now. Worse yet, what did he even think of her?

Ren, naturally, did not miss the turbulent storm brewing within the petite girl.

After offering a few soothing words and gentle pats to calm Inori Yuzuriha and the rest of the group, he smoothly detached himself from the crowd and closed the distance to Shizuku.

"Shizuku," he began, his voice dropping to a low, steady register. "I understand exactly what's going through your head. Even though the circumstances were an accident, I will take full responsibility for you."

He didn't sugarcoat it. He went straight to the point, pragmatic and direct as always.

The small girl's shoulders gave a violent twitch. Slowly, agonizingly, she tilted her head upward. Moisture gathered at the corners of her eyes, threatening to spill over her flushed cheeks.

"But..." she stammered, her voice barely a whisper. "We don't... we don't even have any real feelings for each other..."

"Feelings, huh..."

Ren mused. Rather than offering empty platitudes, he simply reached out, wrapping a strong arm around her waist and pulling her flush against his chest. Shizuku stiffened for a fraction of a second, but her trembling body offered absolutely zero resistance.

"Feelings can be cultivated," Ren stated, his tone completely unapologetic. "The phrase 'love grows over time' exists for a reason, especially when that time is spent intimately. The only thing that matters right now is whether you are willing to accept me."

Silence stretched between them, heavy and thick.

Finally, with her face buried deep into the fabric of his shirt, Shizuku mumbled into his chest. "What if... what if I say I'm unwilling?"

"If you say you're unwilling," Ren replied, a wicked smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, "then I suppose I'll just have to thoroughly apply the 'love grows over time' method. Over, and over, and over again. Until you are willing."

To emphasize his point, his large hand slid down and gave her a firm, deliberate pat.

Shizuku gasped, her head snapping up. Her face was entirely crimson as she glared daggers at him.

"You... you really are a pervert!" She wasn't an idiot; she understood the shameless double meaning behind his words perfectly. "A completely terrible, hopeless pervert!"

"Haha, I get that a lot," Ren chuckled, utterly unbothered by the accusation. His grin turned downright predatory. "But every single person who has called me that eventually ended up right by my side."

He leaned in, his breath ghosting over her ear. "Just like you are right now. Just a little closer, and..."

He raised his hand, letting a lustrous, crimson glow dance across his fingertips, a visual reminder of the chaotic power that had intertwined them.

Shizuku's cheeks burned so hot they felt like they might melt. She knew exactly what he was implying. After experiencing Ren's absolute 'devastation'for the first time, something inside her had fundamentally shifted. Her body felt completely alien to her now. It was as though every nerve ending had been thoroughly conquered, rewired, and permanently branded by his existence. Just catching a faint whiff of his masculine scent caused her core to clench and her breathing to hitch in a completely abnormal reaction.'Damn it...'she cursed inwardly, biting her lower lip.'Doesn't this mean I can't ever leave him? My body won't even let me!'

A crushing wave of embarrassment and shame washed over her, though it did nothing to cool the heat pooling in her stomach.

Ren's eyes crinkled with amusement. Thanks to his abilities, he heard her inner panicked thoughts loud and clear. It seemed the foundation was already rock solid. She was his.

"Well, since you've practically begged for it, let's get to work," Ren declared, his tone shifting from comforting to shamelessly eager.

Shizuku blinked, completely stunned by the sudden whiplash. "Wait, what?!"

"Of course. We have to cultivate those feelings, remember?"

"Exactly," he agreed with his own logic, already moving to scoop her up.

"Wait!!! Not right now!!!"

Sometime later.

Ren had thoroughly and efficiently dispelled the last of Kurogane Shizuku's reservations—using his preferred, highly physical methods. Once the petite knight was left a breathless, satisfied mess, he turned his attention back to properly comforting Stella Vermillion, Inori Yuzuriha, and the rest of his companions.

"Ren... what exactly happened to you earlier? We were terrified," Stella murmured.

She rested her cheek against his broad, bare chest, listening to the steady, powerful rhythm of his heartbeat. It brought her an extraordinary sense of peace, grounding her after the chaotic events. She tilted her head up, her crimson eyes searching his face for answers.

"I'll explain everything in the Chat Group later," Ren replied softly, his fingers gently threading through her soft crimson hair.

He needed a moment to breathe. Above all else, he needed to process the massive influx of gains he had just acquired.

[Human]: Ren

[Doomsday]: Cognitive Doomsday (12 Stars), Abnormal Doomsday (12 Stars), Uncertainty Doomsday (12 Stars)

[Ability]: EX: Supreme Uniqueness, Omniversal Law of Infinite Destiny (Dual Evolution), Infinite Tree of Destiny (1v14)

[Infinite Tree of Destiny]: Infinite Dominance, Infinite Time, Infinite Space, Infinite Soul, Infinite Death, Infinite Power, Infinite Faith, Infinite Sin, Infinite Elements, Infinite Reality, Infinite Mind, Infinite Devouring, Infinite Dragon, Infinite Unification

The most glaring, immediate change was the raw numerical jump. His core power had expanded from a 1v13 structure to a staggering 1v14.

But the true shift lay in the qualitative difference. His foundation was no longer just the 'Infinite Law'and the'Infinite Tree'. It had evolved, mutating into the 'Omniversal Law of Infinite Destiny'and the'Infinite Tree of Destiny'.

'The Law of Destiny...' Ren thought, his eyes narrowing in genuine surprise.

The Infinite Tree of Destiny hadn't just appeared out of thin air; it was born from the perfect fusion of his original Infinite Tree and the overarching Law of Destiny. And that specific Law of Destiny? It originated directly from the Doomsday Chat Group itself.

"So, the Chat Group truly did choose me," Ren muttered under his breath, a sharp light gleaming in his eyes. "Or rather, the Law of Destiny embedded within it chose me."

From this moment forward, the absolute power of the Chat Group and the concept of Destiny itself belonged entirely to him. He wasn't just a user anymore; he was the source.

His strength had skyrocketed to an unmatched, terrifying height. When he closed his eyes, he could perceive the shifting currents of the Omniverse from an entirely new, elevated perspective. The boundaries between dimensions felt as thin as wet paper. He had officially stepped across the threshold. He was now a true candidate for the title of Lord of the Omniverse. A King.

Just as the Chat Group had designated him—the Infinite Destiny King.

He now stood on the exact same metaphysical plane as the ancient, terrifying entities that ruled the cosmos: the Devouring King, the Time Calamity King, the Destroyer King, and the Lord of Grace.

However, with this newfound cosmic awareness came a chilling realization. He finally saw the complete picture.

Above all of them—above the Kings, above the endless multiverses, above the very concept of infinite diversity—loomed an impossible mountain.

The Lord of Transcendence.

Even with a level of power that could casually wipe out or create infinite multiverses with a single thought, the Kings were still beneath that singular entity. In this world of existence, absolute power was determined by the depth of one's Law. Ren, the Devouring King, the Destroyer King... they were all currently operating at the stage of the Second Law.

But the Lord of Transcendence? That entity had reached the Third Law.

And then came the heaviest truth of all.

The Devouring King was dead.

The ancient entity's entire existence had been completely and utterly erased from reality by the Lord of Transcendence. And the reason for that death? It was Ren.

Even Ren, with all his calculations and pragmatism, hadn't anticipated this outcome. The exact moment he began his advancement to the Second Law, his presence had flared like a supernova, completely exposing him to the sight of the other Kings. Unwilling to allow the birth of a new competitor, the Time Calamity King, the Destroyer King, and the Lord of Grace had all moved to strike him down during his most vulnerable, critical period of evolution.

It was the Devouring King who had intervened.

The ancient King had deliberately fragmented his own existence, scattering his essence to violently infiltrate the territories of the other Kings, physically stalling their coordinated strike. That desperate sacrifice, combined with the Chat Group running the Law of Destiny at maximum capacity to cloak his signature, was the only reason Ren had successfully completed his advancement without being obliterated.

If not for the Devouring King laying down his life, Ren would have undoubtedly perished.

"Devouring King," Ren whispered into the quiet room, his gaze hardening into chips of frozen ice. "I will fulfill the promise between us."

His mind raced, cataloging his targets. The Time Calamity King. The Destroyer King. The Lord of Grace. He would hunt them down and settle accounts with every single one of them, tearing them from their thrones.

As for the Lord of Transcendence... whether it was to avenge the Devouring King's sacrifice or simply to secure his own absolute survival, that entity was his final, ultimate enemy.

But to fight a war on that scale, he still lacked the necessary strength. He needed the power to shatter his current limits and advance to the Third Law. The Chat Group, operating purely on the theme of the Law of Destiny, had reached its absolute limit. It could no longer provide him with a pre-paved path to further advancement.

So, he would forge his own path. He would make drastic changes.

And it would all start with fundamentally rewriting the very form of the Chat Group's existence.
