Chapter 173 - Chapter 172: After the Battle

On the desolate plains of Osaka, Japan, the evening wind swept dust across the cracked earth.

Bottomless ravines crisscrossed the land, dark purple Cursed Spirit blood congealed on the scorched earth and rocks, and broken Cursed Spirit limbs and shattered plant Cursed Energy remnants were scattered everywhere. Every trace screamed of the ferocity of the recent battle.

Mr. Rin stood silently in the center of the battlefield, his black shirt largely torn from the intense fight, revealing well-defined muscles stained with specks of dark red Cursed Spirit blood, yet without a single wound.

He lowered his gaze to the black and red Cursed Energy patterns remaining on his palm, his Crimson Sharingan slowly fading its bloodthirsty glow, becoming calm. The surging Cursed Energy around him also receded like a tide, leaving only a faint aura that kept the approaching dust at bay.

In the distance, car engines roared as several Tokyo Jujutsu High work vehicles sped over, their wheels grinding against the gravel with a harsh sound.

The staff pushed open their car doors, and as soon as they stepped onto this battlefield, they were so shocked by the horrific sight that they stopped in their tracks.

The entire plain looked as if it had been gnawed by a giant beast, the ground sunken, and corrosive traces of Cursed Energy remnants were everywhere. The strong smell of blood and Cursed Energy aftershocks lingering in the air made even experienced staff members frown.

"Hurry up, collect the residual Cursed Energy crystals, mark dangerous areas, and be careful not to touch any un-dissipated Cursed Energy fluctuations."

The Tokyo Jujutsu High teacher leading the team ordered in a deep voice, and everyone snapped back to reality, quickly taking out their equipment and dividing tasks.

Some operated instruments to collect Cursed Spirit energy samples, some used special Cursed Tools to clear scattered Cursed Spirit remains, and others set up isolation zones at the edge of the plain. The entire process was orderly, yet no one dared to approach Mr. Rin in the center of the field.

Just then, space rippled slightly, and Gojo Satoru appeared beside Mr. Rin without warning.

He still wore his signature black blindfold and loose uniform, with his hands in his pockets, his tone carrying its usual flippancy:

"Yo, Mr. Rin, I didn't expect you to cause such a commotion in Osaka too. This plain probably won't be cultivable anymore, huh?"

Mr. Rin glanced at him sideways, his voice calm and even:

"Compared to the Shinjuku battlefield in Tokyo, this scale is much smaller."

"That's true, but the opponents are different."

Gojo Satoru chuckled, his Rikugan under the blindfold sweeping across the entire battlefield, sensing the residual Cursed Energy fluctuations, his tone gradually becoming more serious:

"Three Special Grade Cursed Spirits, and an unknown Curse User. You didn't even get a scratch. Your strength is truly becoming more and more astonishing."

He paused, then changed the subject:

"However, why did they come after you? It seems these guys are all very interested in you!"

"I don't know, but I'm quite happy about it."

Mr. Rin raised his hand, and a faint wisp of black and red Cursed Energy condensed at his fingertips, intertwined with several slender Cursed Energy threads.

After this battle, Mr. Rin felt his strength had improved again.

"Is that so?"

Gojo Satoru rubbed his chin, a hint of playfulness in his tone:

"You really are a battle maniac. But speaking of which, why didn't you chase them this time? With your speed, they shouldn't have been able to escape."

Mr. Rin retracted the Cursed Energy from his fingertips, his gaze turning towards Kyoto, his eyes deep:

"Their strength was a bit beyond my expectation. If I hadn't been able to deploy my Domain Expansion twice in a row, they might have actually killed me."

"And," he added, "that unknown Curse User isn't so simple either."

Gojo Satoru raised an eyebrow, a smile of approval appearing:

"As expected of you, to be able to do such a thing.

But you must be careful. If you let them escape this time, they might return with stronger helpers next time."

"Stronger helpers?

"Mr. Rin's lips curved into a faint arc, with a hint of disdain:

"No matter how many come, I'll take them on."

"Haha, confident as ever."

Gojo Satoru burst into laughter, then his tone paused slightly:

"But seriously, your current strength has completely exceeded the Special Grade category, hasn't it? The Cursed Energy fluctuations I sensed just now were significantly stronger than in Shinjuku."

"Slightly improved."

Mr. Rin didn't explain much, just responded indifferently.

Gojo Satoru looked at his proud profile, a complex emotion flashing in his Rikugan under the blindfold, then he returned to his usual flippancy:

"Although I really don't want to admit it, you might actually be able to beat me now."

Mr. Rin turned to look at him, a sharp glint flashing in his Crimson Sharingan:

"Want to try?"

"No, no."

Gojo Satoru waved his hand, his tone light, "If the two of us fought, Osaka would really be gone.

Besides, I have to go back and see how my student's mission is going. I don't have time to fight you."

He paused, then changed the subject, his tone becoming serious:

"However, Fushiguro is currently recovering sukunas finger. Do you want to go help out? After all, it's your junior's first solo mission, don't you want to participate?. "

Upon hearing this, Mr. Rin immediately thought that at this time, Itadori Yuji was about to make his appearance, and if he ate sukunas finger, Gojo Satoru not rushing back now could lead to big problems.

"Then let's go, I'm just idle anyway."

Then the two prepared to leave immediately.

The Tokyo Jujutsu High staff watched the two interact, not daring to breathe loudly. Someone whispered, "Is that Mr. Rin? He's as strong as the rumors say."

"Teacher Gojo's tone when talking to him just now felt like an equal conversation..."

The evening wind once again swept across the plain, stirring up dust and covering the bloodstains and remains on the ground.

A fierce battle had ended, but a new storm was quietly brewing in the direction of Kyoto.

Just then, a low, playful voice suddenly echoed in his mind, carrying a familiar arrogance and insight:

"Stop lying, Mr. Rin."

Sukuna's words were like a viper's fangs, piercing precisely into the heart:

"You deliberately let those Cursed Spirits escape, didn't you? And Kenjaku, you had countless opportunities to kill him, so why did you show mercy? Are you just going to watch him defile your teacher's body?"

Mr. Rin's steps did not falter, his face still calm, but deep within his Crimson Sharingan, a terrifying ruthlessness suddenly flashed. The Cursed Energy he had reined in instantly fluctuated, carrying an extreme, suppressed malice that made the passing evening breeze turn cold.

He said nothing, as if he hadn't heard Sukuna's provocation at all.

But the voice in his mind grew more joyful, Sukuna's laughter carrying undisguised excitement, as if he had found the most interesting toy:

"Hehe... not talking? That's fine. I know what you're thinking. You're hiding a huge conspiracy, a secret even Gojo Satoru doesn't know."

"You're using Kenjaku, using those Cursed Spirits... You're waiting for an opportunity, an opportunity to catch all your enemies in one fell swoop, aren't you?"

Sukuna's tone was certain:

"How interesting... increasingly interesting. I want to see how big a storm you'll stir up in the end, and if you'll even destroy this world along with it."

The laughter gradually faded in his mind, and Mr. Rin's eyes returned to calm, but the ruthlessness deep within them was like an indelible brand.

His figure stretched long in the afterglow of the setting sun, solitary and resolute, as if hiding endless secrets and schemes behind him.
