After Jonathan read the book, he was stunned by what he had learned. However, one question continued to bother him.
Jonathan: If that book was about fate, then how am I tied to it? Hmm... Could it be something related to the Fateality Trials from earlier? But I still don't quite understand.
Just then, Dr. Dre returned to the library.
Dr. Dre: Alright, everyone. Head back to class.
Jonathan slowly placed the book back where he found it. Before leaving, he stared at it for a few moments, still trying to understand what it had to do with him.
Dr. Dre: Jonathan, are you coming?!
Jonathan: Oh, right! Here I come!
Jonathan quickly followed the class back to the classroom. As everyone settled back into their seats, Jonathan turned toward Noah, still curious about what he had discovered in his own book.
Jonathan: Hey, Noah. What was your book about? Do you really think it was tied to your fate?
Noah: I don't know. It's hard to say. I trust Dr. Dre, though. My book talked about some weird-looking swords and how, one day, someone would claim them and be able to govern time itself.
Jonathan: Oh, that's interesting...
Jonathan looked away, thinking to himself.
Jonathan: Swords? Time? What could that possibly mean?
Just then, the bell rang, signaling that school was over. Everyone began leaving the classroom and heading home.
Jonathan remained behind, lost in his thoughts. He was the last person left in the classroom.
As he slowly walked toward the exit, he continued thinking about the strange book.
Jonathan: What could my possible future be? I don't get it. What do I have to do with that race?
Jonathan finally stepped through the classroom doorway. He looked to his right, then to his left.
That's when he noticed the principal and Dr. Dre standing nearby.
Dr. Dre: Come on. Follow me.
Jonathan became curious about what they were talking about. Something about the situation gave him a strange feeling.
Jonathan took a step forward.
Cutting sense.
We then see Noah outside. Dawn has arrived.
Noah is struggling to open a full portal. His hands shake as he tries again and again.
Noah: Grrr... Ah! Grrrr... Ah! Why won't it stay open?!
Noah falls to his knees, frustrated.
Noah: I was so useless back there in the Fateality Trials. I didn't do anything...
Overwhelmed with frustration, Noah falls to the ground, beginning to sob.
Suddenly, he hears a strange noise.
Noah looks up.
One of his portals has opened.
Noah slowly stands up and approaches it.
Noah: What?! My portal... It's—
WHOOOOA!
Before Noah can finish his sentence, the portal suddenly pulls him inside.
Noah disappears.
When he opens his eyes, he finds himself in a strange place that seems completely frozen in time.
Noah: What...? What is this place?
Noah slowly begins walking.
The entire city around him is frozen.
Children are frozen in the middle of running. A droplet of water hangs motionless beneath a faucet. A tree is bent as if wind is blowing against it, yet the tree itself cannot move.
Everything is frozen.
The entire realm seems trapped in a single moment.
Noah begins to panic.
Noah: No... No, no, no! I can't be here! Gah! Open portal, please!
Noah struggles to create another portal, but something is different.
His portals are barely able to open.
Noah: What do I need to do? My portals are a lot weaker here. They can barely even open.
Noah looks around.
Noah: I don't know... Dr. Dre. What would Dr. Dre do?
Noah thinks for a moment.
Noah: Oh! Instead of using my time portals to leave, maybe I can try to put time into this place.
He looks around at the frozen city.
Noah: Yeah... Maybe that's it. Maybe this place is asking for my help.
Noah raises his hands.
Noah: I'll give it a try.
Noah lifts both of his hands straight into the air.
Noah: NOW... ETERNAL DIOLATION!
A swirling manifestation of time begins forming above Noah.
It grows larger and larger, putting an enormous strain on his body.
Noah: Grrr... I've never used this much time before. I don't know if I can do it...
Noah grits his teeth.
Noah: No... I-I must push through!
The manifestation continues growing.
Noah: I... I want to fix this place! If I can't do this, I won't be able to do anything!
Noah pushes himself further.
Noah: I must... I must get out of here!
Noah: OWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
The manifestation of time suddenly crashes into the ground.
A massive shockwave spreads throughout the realm.
The gray and white universe begins regaining its color.
Slowly, everything begins moving again.
The children continue running.
The water droplet falls.
The tree moves with the wind.
Time has returned.
The camera turns back toward Noah. He is exhausted.
Noah: Wow... I did it.
Noah looks around in amazement.
Noah: The entire place here... It seems to be fixed.
Noah takes a deep breath.
Noah: I barely have enough energy to open a portal back. Maybe if I rest, I could—
Suddenly, two broken twin swords begin floating in front of Noah.
Noah's eyes widen.
Noah: Wait... Are these...?
Noah looks at the swords in disbelief.
Noah: The swords from my book?!
We flash back to Noah's book.
The pages reveal the story of two twin heroes.
Long ago, two twin heroes sought to separate the fate of all timelines. One wished to bring about the destruction of all timelines, while the other wished to bring about the beginning of all timelines.
The two heroes eventually entered a fierce battle, each attempting to stop the other from achieving their goal.
After a long and devastating battle, both heroes ultimately lost their lives while fighting to the very end.
The swords were destroyed alongside their respective heroes, as the two weapons were connected to the very existence of the heroes themselves.
The broken swords shattered into countless fragments.
Those fragments wandered through the space between timelines, waiting for new owners to claim them.
One day, the swords would once again become complete.
When reunited with their rightful owners, they would balance the destruction and creation of timelines throughout the multiverse.
Noah stares at the two broken swords floating before him.
Noah: Could I be their new owner...?
Noah slowly reaches his hand toward one of the swords.
Cut to black.
We then cut to Dominic.
After leaving the classroom embarrassed by being the last person to finish the Fateality Trial, Dominic is seen in front of a punching bag.
He kicks it repeatedly, clearly frustrated.
Dominic: Grrr... How could I be the last out of everyone?
Dominic: Why the heck is my fate intertwined with those two randoms? Neither of them possesses a power level near mine of 5,000. We shouldn't even be breathing the same air.
Dominic takes a deep breath.
Dominic: Haaaa...
Filled with anger, Dominic punches the bag with such force that it breaks apart, sending sand spilling onto the floor.
Dominic: Ha! I want to burn them alive for embarrassing me! I—
Suddenly, a beam of purple light heads straight toward Dominic.
A voice echoes inside his mind.
Voice: Dominic... Hey. This is your mom. Your grandma has fallen very ill.
Dominic's expression immediately changes.
Dominic: WHAT?!
Dominic: I'm on my way!
Dominic rushes to the hospital.
Inside, Dominic sees his grandmother lying in a hospital bed.
Dominic: Grandma... I'm here. What's wrong?
Dominic approaches her, clearly worried.
Dominic: Please don't leave me. You're the only person I really have.
Dominic's grandmother looks toward him.
Grandmother: It's okay. Us demons have long lives, but only if we are strong enough.
Grandmother: You are such a young man with a bright future ahead of you.
Dominic: Grandma, don't say something like that!
Dominic turns toward the doctor.
Dominic: Doctor! Is there a way to help her?!
The doctors shake their heads and slowly walk away.
Dominic turns back toward his grandmother.
He places his hand on her stomach, sobbing.
His grandmother uses what little strength she has to lift his chin.
Grandmother: Like I said... You have a long life ahead of you.
Grandmother: I want you to go to my house. Go to the basement and put in the code 46-388437.
Grandmother: I know you will know what to do.
Dominic looks at her, confused.
Grandmother: It was your grandfather's. Before he... cough... passed, he wanted you to have them.
Grandmother: Now go fur—
Dominic: Grandma?
Dominic: GRANDMA?!
Dominic: GO WHAT?! GRANDMA, PLEASE!
There is no response.
Dominic slowly sits up, puts his hoodie on, and runs out of the hospital, sobbing.
After running for several blocks, Dominic finally reaches his grandmother's house.
The house is dusty, as if no one has cleaned it in months.
Dominic makes his way down the basement's squeaky stairs.
He reaches the vault and enters the code.
46-388437.
The vault unlocks.
Dominic: What did she mean by "go fur—"?
The vault opens.
Inside, Dominic sees what appears to be a chain with a sharp spike attached to the end.
Dominic: This was Grandpa's...?
Dominic looks closer.
Dominic: He wanted me to have his Chaos Chains of Ruins?
Dominic thinks back to what he had been told about them.
A flashback appears.
Grandfather: The chains... In order to activate their true power, one must realize his fate.
Grandfather: To use the chains is to cause a shift in your very existence, allowing you to comprehend what the future holds for you.
Grandfather: You must go further beyond.
The flashback ends.
Dominic looks at the chains.
Dominic: It makes sense...
Dominic reaches out and grabs them.
Dominic: The chains can only be activated if someone is able to perceive their fate and understand it.
Dominic looks down at the chains.
Dominic: Grandma was hiding these from me because she knew I wouldn't be ready.
Dominic: Did she know that this day would come?
Dominic looks toward the chains again.
Dominic: I guess I need to figure out my fate with these to use them...
Dominic pauses.
Dominic: Wait...
Dominic: Is that what Grandma meant?
Dominic looks toward the code.
Dominic: The code... It makes sense.
Dominic: To go future...
Dominic's eyes widen.
Dominic: ...beyond.
CUT TO BLACK.
Jonathan wonders about his fate.
Noah finds the swords that match his exact fate.
Dominic discovers the Chaos Chains of Ruins and learns that he must understand his future.
What will become of our heroes as they undergo something wonderful?
