What is Purifying the World?
In the original work, there was actually an ability that demonstrated exactly what Purifying the World was.
It belonged to a new character who appeared during the late stages of the Culling Game—an Ancient Sorcerer revived by Kenjaku. However, they did not seize the host's body, instead existing in a relationship similar to that of Itadori Yuji and Ryomen Sukuna.
They called themselves Angel.
The name of their Cursed Technique was Jacob's Ladder.
Its ability was Technique Extinguishment.
The "Technique" in Technique Extinguishment did not refer specifically to Innate Techniques, but rather to any technique composed of Cursed Energy, naturally including things such as barriers and seals.
In the original work, Gojo Satoru was sealed within the Prison Realm through Kenjaku's scheme. Because Gojo Satoru had destroyed all of the Cursed Tools capable of undoing the seal, the others had to seek another solution.
That solution was the Ancient Sorcerer mentioned by Tengen.
That Ancient Sorcerer was Angel, along with Jacob's Ladder.
The ability of Technique Extinguishment possessed the power to purify all Curses.
Within the Jujutsu World, the source of all techniques is Cursed Energy, including—but not limited to—every Jujutsu Sorcerer's Innate Technique, general techniques, Cursed Energy Reinforcement, Cursed Energy Manipulation, and so on.
Although it was never directly shown in the original work, theoretically, even the Limitless surrounding Gojo Satoru could be nullified.
This is the true meaning of Buddha's Sound Purifying the World.
Unlike Jacob's Ladder, which requires activating an Innate Technique, the Buddha's sound of Six Eastward Crossings can be activated freely.
The user may determine both its range and the timing of its activation at will.
Naturally, the closer one is to the user, the stronger the purification effect becomes.
