Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The Abyss, Nine Descents (9)

In the raging torrents below the chained islands, something like a rag slowly drowned. The waters raged against themselves, rising with furious might and bashing together. It seemed the waters were divided, the upper ones rising endlessly while the lower ones bore the impact.

And in this continuous vicious cycle, stood the lonely dark rag floating deeper in its water, the rag entered deeper and deeper, until it passed the boundary between the waters and entered into the deeper parts, the waters which always stayed below never going up.

It suddenly plunged at incredible speed into dark, unreachable depths. For a moment there was silence, until a sound emerged, unlike anything a mortal was meant to hear or witness.

The still waters supposed to stay below rose slowly with unbelievable strength. As they rose, surrounding waters pushed out again and again, swelling to swallow the world. And there he stood: a being whose presence negated the world itself, with an aura that threatened to destroy it. In his hand was a mighty greatsword, deep black and long, its handle surrounded by rings that radiated a heavy presence.

Up in the void, Dead Soul turned his head toward the voice. From an open hole in the void, as if a bubble had been pierced, black leather shoes appeared, followed by a man dressed in a tailored black three piece suit with crimson embroidery tracing the lapels and cuffs. His coat flying behind him, he gazed at the scene with bored eyes, a cigarette in his mouth. After looking around, he removed the cigarette, held it in his fingers, and threw it away.

Hunter stood there, letting smoke drift from his mouth. The discarded cigarette was carried by a nonexistent wind until it hit the void, where it erupted in a black flame that spread across the space, covering the 1st Heaven in black flames as two half black, half-white smiling masks swallowed it whole.

From afar it seemed as if an egg was caught in flames, as the flames burned brighter, and the mask dissolved, Lazy Corpse Emperor smiled grimly as he looked at the tall hunter in black tinted with yellow.

Echo looked at the black flames surrounding them, then at the odd hunter, and said in disgust.

"Misinformation Spreader"

The moment the name appeared, faint images of a half-black, half-white mask appeared everywhere like snow. Diabolical laughter echoed in the surroundings, and amidst the snow of masks, the odd hunter slowly turned to dust, disappearing into the wind to leave a cracked mask in his place. Up in the air, as if on a platform, stood a being whose very existence seemed the source and origin of all discord.

He stood unbeleivably tall, with long, vibrant yellow hair in a messy, wind-swept texture reaching down to his shoulders. His entire face was concealed by a striking split mask. The right side is bone white, and the left side is pitch black. A wide, exaggerated "U" shaped smile is carved into the mask, curving upward toward the eye slits.

He spread his hands in the air, his flowing yellow Daoist robe dancing alongside his vibrant hair. The black-and-white smiling masks on his robe changed patterns constantly, their smiles giving off an eerie festive aura, his mood unknowable.

"Misinfo, it truly is you."

Lazy Corpse Emperor, said in genuine hate,

*Before the end, I had forgotten how much I hated your existence. Even if mortals didn't die, I was a fool to believe you would have."

"Now now, uncle stop saying such words u hurt dear old me deeply"

SomePurifyingDude stared at the scene with puzzlement before asking

"Who is Misinformation Spreader?"
