They ended up on the couch, the television playing something neither of them watched, Tae-hyun's travel bag still sitting by the door where he'd dropped it, undealt with, a decision neither of them wanted to examine too closely yet.
"You don't have to explain anything tonight," Min-woo said, handing him a cup of tea he hadn't really asked for. "You can just stay. We'll figure out the rest tomorrow."
"I know." Tae-hyun wrapped both hands around the cup, staring into it rather than at Min-woo. "I just feel like I should say something. Explain why I actually came instead of just showing up unannounced with a bag like some kind of runaway."
"You don't owe me an explanation. But I'll listen if you want to give one."
Tae-hyun was quiet for a while, gathering himself, and eventually set the tea down and shifted, lying back until his head came to rest in Min-woo's lap, looking up at him instead of the ceiling.
