Jihan let himself into the apartment a little past seven, exhaustion sitting heavy in every line of his posture, and the smell that greeted him stopped him in the doorway before he'd even taken his shoes off.
"You cooked."
"And cleaned." Jae-min appeared from the kitchen, wiping his hands on a dish towel, a small, tired smile on his face that mirrored Jihan's own exhaustion back at him. "Figured you'd need it after today."
Jihan crossed the room and pulled him into a hug before either of them said anything else, holding on a beat longer than usual, and Jae-min let him, arms wrapped tight around his back, some quiet comfort passing between them that didn't need words.
"How bad was it," Jae-min asked eventually, pulling back just enough to look at him.
