Ming Yi was walking through a deserted corridor of the palace. The seriousness of the situation was all around; only the lamp on the wall was flickering. Suddenly, a shadow stood blocking his path. He was Tian Xuning, the son of the king's elder sister.
Even though there was a dream in Tian Xuning's eyes, there was a poisonous desire too. That Ming considers Yi his property.
"Get out of the way, Xuning," Ming Yi said in a cold tone.
Tian Xuning smiled softly, but that smile was not respectful. "What's the hurry, my dear cousin? You can defeat everyone on the battlefield, but don't you see the war going on inside my mind?"
"I don't have the time or desire to listen to your nonsense." Ming Yi said angrily.
He slowly approached Ming Yi and stood there. Ming Yi tried to back away, but Tian Xuning pinned his hand against the wall. "You know, I told mom... I want you. This kingdom, this power, I give up everything; I just want to see you by my side."
"You're crazy, Xuning! I don't love you and I never will." Ming Yi said angrily.
But Tian Xuning suddenly pulled Ming Yi close to him and tried to forcefully kiss her on the lips. But he didn't succeed. Ming Yi burst into hatred and anger. She pushed Tian Xuning hard and slapped him. The sound of that slap echoed in the corridor.
"How dare you!" Ming Yi roared. "Next time you dare to come near me, my sword will see your blood. Remember, I am Princess Ming Yi, not anyone's property."
Tian Xuning smiled softly, placing her hand on her reddened cheek. That wasn't a good laugh. "This anger is what drives me even crazier, Yi. No matter how far you go, you will always be mine. I will make you mine even if I destroy everything."
Ming Yi laughed loudly and said, "Xuning, this will only happen in your dreams, not in reality. I won't let it happen. Even if I die for this, I won't let it happen. You will not be able to make this kingdom your own, nor will you make me your own."
Tian Xuning smiled softly and said, "Don't think I'm so weak. I won't turn down a challenge again. I promise I'll make you mine and this kingdom mine. And if I can't, I won't survive. And another thing, if you're not mine, then no one else will be. I won't let you be."
Ming Yi smiled softly and said, "Let's see who wins this challenge. I will also see how you can make me and this kingdom yours. "
