The entire ordeal seemed comical to everyone whose eyes were fixed on them.
Whether they were conscious of the stare from others especially Colton or not they remained.

All eyes turned to Kaiden who had his eyes glued to the laptop in front of him with the glasses reflecting the spreadsheet software on its lens. It changed between the girls and his best friend then sighed.
"We have to finish every paperwork that involves collation of data towards the coming Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday so we can study. Being a member of the student council cannot be our excuse to fall behind others",
He reminded sternly but with an air of indifference.
Kacy turned to him and smiled softly,
"Are we doing it together - together or in pairs, together?", she inquired with a teasing gaze directed at Colton and the ladies at the receiving end of his glare.
Kaiden's eyes narrowed slightly. His gaze turning to where she she looked and turned back to her.
"You decide"
Kacy face lit up as she straightened her posture and the tease on her face got replaced with a calm and serious expression.
"Can we study together… both of us. You and me."
A collective silence. Even Colton's gaze had shifted from his rival to his best friend anticipating his answer to this direct yet flirty proposal.
Kim eyes widened in disbelief while Lynn blinked.
She was beginning to realize things she never noticed even while stalking Kaitlyn.
Kaiden hands above the keyboard paused slightly.
For a moment the eyes behind the glasses shook slightly and lost it's edgy and wary exterior but just as quickly regained them.

Just a word yet it had a lot of crazy effect on the people around.
Kacy was calm but if one looked closely they could see her eyes twitching and her hands clenched.
Colton let out a low whistle that earned him a glare from his friend.
Kim's face twitches, her lips turning upside down

Other members looked up in surprise at their president response.
"Principal Von also said as it is the first event after the reinstating of the Student Council, we should ensure that our works and grades are in complete balance.
And if the Thanksgiving is a success the go ahead concerning accepting other knowledgeable and efficient students into the council and full authority to the student council concerning certain academic decisions will be given"
Kaiden continued speaking as if he had not just caused a storm.
But still this was great news.
"Finally…"
The words came from Lynn and all eyes turned to her.
"What? Don't tell me you guys don't feel the same? Not only was it suddenly reinstated but we were kinda forced with decades of workload for just nine people to do so yeah… I'm more than happy to get this workload off my shoulders if I could"
Lynn's declaration got everyone smiling.
To get that they had to work hard but still… they would.
