Chapter 6 - Getting Closer

You don't need to keep bringing me breakfast in bed, I'm perfectly fine. Oh please, you need at least two weeks of maximum rest for your foot to heal completely, whereas it's only been a week, Thomas smiled.

Thomas had alot of questions, like why did he refuse to call home, why does he absolutely refuse to talk about the incident, and how long does he plan to stay away fron school. Not that he was complaining, he loved the company, but he couldn't help but wonder, and whenever he tried to bring it up Kai would just go completely silent with a terrified look on his face.

Since it's the weekend and you've basically been bedridden for the past week, is there anything you'd like to do, we don't have to go far either. I don't want to do anything, I'll just stay in bed, you can go out with your friends, I'm done, Kai pushed the empty dishes further and turned to lay down.

What was that about, it's fine if he doesn't want to go out he doesn't need to get angry over it, he shrugged.

You almost gave me a heart attack, Thomas gasped tightly gripping the dish he was rinsing, what are you doing here, it's game night at your place, remember?, Jason, one of Thomas's bully friends yelled as they all strolled into the kitchen, game night, wooo, they all yelled. Since when, tch, that doesn't matter, game night is canceled you guys can't be here today, he said continuously looking up the stairs. His friends had no idea Kai had been staying with him since that day, and he intended to keep it that way, they would torment, his and Kai's life which could lead to him leaving and cutting ties with him, they finally managed to open up to each other, instead of keeping his friends in check it's better they never found out, or so he thought.

While he was lost in thought, Jason had already ran up the stairs saying he left his sjirt here last time he came over. Woah, get up here guys, snapped him back to reality as he threw the dish to the ground shards of glass scattered, ignoring it and sprinting up the stairs ahead of his friends.

You ran up here like I found your dad or something, Jason chuckled, no need to get so serious it was just a harmless joke. Get out of my room, he clenched his jaw, his fists tight and ready to dance. Woah, calm down bro, who threw his hands up as if to surrender, I was just wondering what J trash was doing here, you two finna become fairies together, they all laughed.

Thomas, Kai jumped out of bed in a bid to stop the throw down, Thomas got a few punches in and they wey going back and forth, the rest of the guys observing at Jason's order. Stop Thomas, stop it, ouch, Kai winced holding his foot as Jason pushed him to the floor.

Kai, Thomas's gaze darted towards him, his eyes softening and his voice filled with worry, leave, he roared at Jason, let's go boys, he's one of the fairies now.

Kai, I'm so sorry, are you okay, he carried him back to the bed. I'm fine, you should be worried about yourself, Thomas winces as Kai touched one of his bruises. You have to blow on it, that'll make it heal faster, Kai being the airhead he is blew real hard after applying ointment believing that was truly going to let his friend heal faster, what, nothing, Thomas shook his head with a smirk.

Mhmm, Kai moaned in pain as Thomas checked his sprain, luckily it's not that bad, he declared. Are those guys actually even your friends, well they clearly aren't, he chuckled briefly and let out a short breath. They use to bully me, back in middle school, but then in high school I came back, stronger, taller, just better, he shrugged with his head to the side. When they tried to bully me I beat them ul instead of cowering in fear, they started respecting me, before I knew what was happening I was leading them, but Jason never quite liked that. Of course he didn't he used to be the leader, when I started leading they stopped beating kids up, and stealing from them, although I'm sure they did it behind my back, well that's in the past, I'm sure Jason is happy to be back in control again, he smiled.

Kai leaned forward, taking one of his luscious curly locks and twirling it in his finger, I've wanted to do this since the first day we met, you were out to bully me but I was out to play with your hair, he smiled. Thomas sat at Kai's feet as he played with his hair, his heart racing for some reason, his breathing unsteady, the temperature going so high he began to perspire. I stabbed her, what, he said after like five seconds because Kai whispered, I stabbed Fumiko, I didn't chase anyone I ran after stabbing her, I jumped out the window and ran, that's how I twisted my ankle, he confessed as if he had been spell bound by those golden locks.

His fingers stopped mid twirling as Thomas held him by the wrist. It wasn't you, he looked into his eyes as they say face to face, it was your illness, you'd never do that, he stated quiet but firmly. One tear dropped from his eye, his facial expression hard to tell as it was quite dim in the room with the curtains drawn.

Thank you, he flew into Thomas's arms, receiving a tight hug from him held deep in his embrace, I really wouldn't have been able to forgive myself if something happened to her, he sniffled. Mm, mm, Thomas cleared his throat, but not before letting a few half moans slip out, sorry, Kai yelled springing back into the bed on noticing that his alien hand had been rubbing his joystick. Sorry, I didn't mean to, I didn't even notice, he smiled awkwardly his face bright red, what he couldn't see that Thomas was also red in the face. That's fine, what did I tell you, when your alien fits come just grab onto anything close to you, so, you can just finish what you started, Thomas said in a low hypnotic tone, as he held Kai by the wrist and led his hand back down there, Kai could hear his slow and hot breathing as he got closer.

Pay up quickly fairy boy or I'll go tattletaling, Jason cackled. What do you mean, I gave you money yesterday, I'm not supposed to pay daily, you pay however I want you to for as long as J trash stays with you, understand?, he asked goofily.

So how was school today, the same as always, are you sure those bullies aren't causing you trouble, Kai asked, of course not, Thomas chuckled. Nothing good would come out of Kai knowing anyways, worst case scenario he'd want to go back home so they wouldn't have a reason to harass him, but he couldn't have that, not when they've gotten so close, couldn't go back to being that sad fake lonely bully persona.

I'll get it, he announced as the doorbell rang, could that be your mom, Kai gasped, he had her apron on, half his hair tied in a scrunchie, using her kitchen and her utensils, what type of relationship would she think he had with her son. Na it couldn't be, he froze to the floor shocked at who was at the door.
