The next morning, Solomon woke up early. He packed a small bag and headed downstairs.
"I have to complete an academy-related mission," Solomon told his parents as they prepared to leave for the diner. "I will be going out of the neighborhood and might not return for two or three days. It might take less time, or it might take slightly more. But I promise I will return home before I have to head back to the academy."
His parents hugged him, making him promise to stay safe before they left for work.
Solomon left the house shortly after and walked toward the local park. He met up with Paul near the swing sets. He had purchased a two-wheeled electric scooter as Solomon had requested, since it would be the easiest and fastest way for them to navigate through the crowded city streets without drawing attention.
"Let me drive it," Solomon said to him as gestured him to get to the backseat.
