Humans are social animals, and this social nature has been reflected in the formation of tribes long ago, gathered together to fend off wild beasts and go hunting with greater strength.
As productive forces developed, human social nature became increasingly refined. The development of productive forces meant that for most people, the basic necessities of "food, clothing, and shelter" were no longer pressing issues or the primary goal of their efforts. Thus, the spiritual world of humans began to seek self-realization and a unique sense of identity.
On a larger scale, reminiscent of ancient mercenaries, followed by political factions, on a smaller scale, such as brotherhoods, elite societies, and even smaller down to the fanbase of a single book or movie.
Humans like to draw circles around themselves and those they identify with, instinctively and trendily.
The audience circle is likewise, and so are other circles.
