"If you're alive, then what am I?" Shi Hao stared at her.
This was all too strange. The Burial Master, a creature with decayed wings, had now become a beautiful and youthful girl, completely transforming her appearance.
While he himself was left with only bones, although pearly white and not particularly eerie to look at, he had lost all flesh and didn't seem like a living person.
"If I am alive, how do you feel about yourself?" the girl calmly asked, her smile fading. Behind her was a pair of pure white wings, her graceful and slender body enveloped in immortal mist, as holy as could be.
"This is an illusion!" Shi Hao said in a deep voice.
The girl stepped forward without saying a word, gently tapping his arm where the bones emitted a crisp ding, proving their solidity.
Shi Hao was stunned, reaching out to touch himself, genuinely feeling no sensation of flesh. If this was an illusion that had deceived his eyes, was his sense of touch also unreliable?
