The nicknames of the three brothers are all quite fierce, leaving Gao Yang momentarily speechless.
Though he is called Ferocious, Koval doesn't seem like a particularly aggressive person. It's not quite right to say he is courteous, but he certainly knows his manners.
After a brief moment of being stunned, Gao Yang said quietly, "So you're a mercenary too."
Koval didn't answer, just nodded his head before continuing to dig his pit. After two shovels full of effort, he said in a muffled voice, "I've been a mercenary for a long time. When I was a mercenary, I met my wife. Back then she was young, and so was I. She gave me a child. So, I went to the chapel and married her, but we spent more time apart than together, and mercenaries might die anytime. She didn't want to live in constant fear, so she eventually chose to leave me."
