Chapter 1933 - Chapter 1910: Defiance to the End

Not mistreating the prisoners of war, who were just moments ago the enemy and even caused significant casualties to one's own comrades, is difficult to achieve. It requires strict discipline to be able to do so.

To transform the enemy, who was just fighting to the death moments before, into captives and then treat them with special consideration requires an army with ironclad discipline. In today's world, it's hard to imagine any army capable of that.

The militia in Eastern Ukraine, to be blunt, is just a ragtag group. Expecting them to have basic discipline might be possible, but expecting them to have strict discipline is unrealistic. As for expecting them to have ironclad discipline, that's just daydreaming.

So, Gao Yang's requirements aren't too high. Before the battle ends, absolutely no mistreatment of prisoners is allowed, not even insults. As for after the battle, once he's gone, how can he control what happens?
