Imprinted on a damn Alpha King!!
The most dangerous man in the shifter world was bound to me, talk about a fucking surprise. In the shadows where our kind rules, Alaric Vayne is the untouchable Alpha King of Northlands. A man whose word could start wars or end them. His future was supposed to be flawless to marry Luna Seraphine, unite the territories, cement his throne, and it was all planned, perfect for the shifter clans.
Until we met, by accident, when he walked into my territory. Omegas are not supposed to bond to Alphas like him, while Alphas are not supposed to imprint on Omegas, and more so, Alpha Kings? But the moment his eyes met mine, the impossible happened: our wolves recognized each other, and the bond locked into place like a burn I could not escape.
I told myself I would reject him, that I had run, hide, let him go back to his Queen-to-be and pretend none of this ever happened. But Alaric, that damn Alpha King, does not give up what is his, and every time he gets close, my resolve unravels. The way he looks at me, hungry, unyielding, makes me forget every reason I should stay away.
But the truth is that I am not some fragile Omega. I am a dangerous man keeping secrets that could bring the entire shifter hierarchy to its knees. And Alaric Vayne? He might just be the only man willing to set the world on fire with me.
The question is, when the flames come, will we burn together? Or will this bond be the death of us both?
Excerpt from Elias' POV
“Little Wolf”
The moment he spoke, I knew I was in fucking trouble. His voice, deep, rich, threaded with some foreign accent, dragged across my skin like heat and hunger. My wolf snapped awake, ears up, breath caught, and then it rose and howled in pleasure and recognition. I froze, and my pulse slammed into overdrive. My wolf didn’t just react; he bowed, spine arched in submission. I hadn’t given.
“ You fucking traitor, “ I pushed the words through my mind link to my wolf.
The man stepped closer, filling the room with raw dominance, and was sure of himself.
“You’re not from here,” I managed, fighting to keep my voice steady.
He smiled slowly and sharply. “Would it matter if I were?”
My skin burned and my traitorous wolf was now it its knees, whining like a damn puppy, and the man looked through me and it was not curiosity that I saw in his damn beautiful eyes but a claiming.
“You’re an Alpha,” I breathed out in shock and realization that the man who stood before me was the Alpha King.
His voice dropped into a sexy growl that was intentional. “More than that.” Then, softly, with something between a promise and a threat: “ I am your Alpha, little wolf.”
And just like that, defiance rose in me, and my eyes burned with rage as I was an Omega, born to survive and never to submit, especially to a damn Alpha King.
