VIPERS ,VOWS AND VENGEENCE
On her wedding day, Kristen discovers Finn’s infidelity and decisively calls off the marriage.
Finn sneers, “Kristen, do you really think you can survive in showbiz without me? Don’t be naive.”
Kristen still blocks his WeChat, phone number, and every other contact.
Finn waits carelessly for Kristen to come crawling back—until he realizes…
Luxury endorsements, hit variety shows, invitations from top directors—Kristen’s resources soar so high that haters spread rumors she’s latched onto a powerful man, even that she’s had a secret child.
At last Finn can’t sit still and goes to confront her—only to run into his good brother, Jason.
Jason, president of the Jin City Group, a towering figure in the Capital’s circle and a business titan, keeps a low profile for years, yet online chatter about him never stops. More importantly, he and Finn have been friends for many years.
Late at night, the two men meet at her apartment door—and come to blows.
Eyes red, Finn grits out, “Jason, she’s my fiancée!”
Jason straightens his collar with lazy precision and reminds him, “She used to be.”
Finn moves to swing again when the tightly shut door opens. Kristen leans there, languid. “Finished? Come in and help me peel a pomegranate.”
Finn’s face lights up. “Kris, I knew you wouldn’t—”
Before he can finish, Jason has already stepped inside ahead of him, changing into a pair of black house slippers identical to the ones on Kristen’s feet.
Before the door closes, Jason’s voice drops a frosty line: “Next time we meet, remember to call her sister-in-law.”
Once the door clicks shut, Jason pins Kristen against it in a heated kiss, fingertips brushing the tear mole at her eye as his voice turns hoarse. “Tell me—him or me?”
