The Legend of Mermaid Queen and Vampire King
Born of sea and shadow, Edel carries the blood of a mermaid queen and a vampire king—an impossible union bound by love and shattered by prophecy. She is the living embodiment of a dark prophecy: a cursed child destined to bring death and misfortune to all who draw near.
Hidden away by her parents before they vanished without a trace, Edel is raised in secrecy by her grandfather beneath the ancient sea cliffs, training in forgotten magic and fighting to survive a world that wants her dead.
Edel grows up burdened by a destiny she never asked for—and a past she yearns to uncover. But even as she seeks the truth, danger finds her.
But she is not alone.
From the shadows watches, the immortal Vampire King—ruthless, possessive, and bound to Edel by a secret older than kingdoms. He saved her many times , and he has waited in silence for the day she would return to him—not as a child, but as the woman destiny promised.
As Edel searches for her missing parents, she uncovers secrets that could rewrite history and ignite war between the realms of land, sea, and shadow. With her powers growing and the prophecy tightening around her throat, she must decide: fight the curse… or become the legend it was always meant to create.

“You shouldn’t be here, darling." His whisper slid into her ear like molten silk.
Before she could turn, his arm locked around her waist, pulling her back flush against his chest. In the suffocating blackness of the room, the only sound was their uneven breaths, tangled together. His warmth pressed into her spine, his lips so close she could feel every exhale fanning against the curve of her neck.
Her body shivered, betraying her.
"If I don’t belong here…" she managed, her voice trembling yet laced with defiance, "then who else would you want instead?"
He chuckled low, the vibration rolling through her back. "Already trembling for me," he teased. "We have the whole night, darling. I’m going to enjoy every second before I take you apart." His tongue traced the shell of her ear, slow, wet, deliberate.
A soft moan escaped her lips. Heat coiled low inside her, pulsing, impossible to ignore.
"Didn’t that fool of a butler warn you to stay away?" His grip tightened as though he could feel her weakening.
"It was my choice," she whispered.
In a blur, he lifted her and laid her on the bed, hovering above her like a predator savoring his prey. Strands of his dark hair brushed her face as his mouth lowered to her throat. The faint metallic tang of blood lingered in his breath, dangerous and intoxicating.
"From this moment on," he murmured, his voice husky, commanding, "you belong to me. To hold, to kiss, to touch, to devour."
His hand slid slowly down her side, fingers brushing over her waist. She arched involuntarily, her breath catching in her throat.
"If I ever see those golden-haired, brown-eyed boys near you," he growled, "I’ll destroy them. You are mine alone."
His lips claimed her neck, then move lower, collarbone, chest leaving trails of heat.
"Now," he whispered, every word deliberate, "undress for me."
Her pulse hammered in her ears. Fingers trembling, she began to obey, the rustle of fabric loud in the dark. His eyes followed every movement, hunger burning in the shadows.
When the last barrier fell away, he leaned down, his mouth grazing her bare skin, his hands exploring her curves with a mix of reverence and possession.
"Perfect," he breathed. "Every inch of you is mine."
