"Good morning, sunshine…"
Xuefeng's voice was warm and unhurried as he leaned in to press a gentle kiss to Tianshi's lips. She was just beginning to stir, lashes fluttering as the soft morning light spilled through the window and caught the faint sheen of her hair. He'd been awake for a while, simply lying there, watching the delicate rise and fall of her chest, memorizing the way her features softened in sleep.
They had fallen asleep fully clothed, yet that hadn't stopped him from feeling every subtle curve of her body pressed to his.
"Mmm… morning…" Her lips curved faintly as she returned his kiss, before she let her head sink back down against his chest. "I don't want to wake up yet… it's too comfortable…"
He traced his fingers along the line of her jaw, brushing his thumb over the velvety skin of her cheek. "We've got a lot to do today, so we'd better get ready."
Her lashes lifted, eyes still hazy from sleep. "What are we doing today? I'll just follow you."
