"Let's go," I said to Mira as I finished my lunch.
She nodded, and we walked out of the inn. I am taking her to market; she wanted to come, and since there is a replacement for her in the inn, I agreed.
"We don't have to take the carriage, the market isn't far," she said as I hailed the carriage. "It will be comfortable," I replied, and a few seconds later, we were in the carriage.
If I had been alone, I wouldn't have done that, but she hadn't even gone through the awakening.
It would be tiring for her.
I would have given a boost so she would have had more energy than any Primary-I, but I decided against it.
"You could have managed working in the clinic and inn. Why did your mother hire the help?" I asked. Her cheeks reddened, and she looked down.
I didn't press her for an answer, and time passed before she looked at me. Her cheeks are still red, but her eyes are firm. "I want to be a healer," she replied softly.
